[Wiki] Community Project: Re-build Wiki - Mark_Brown - 06-18-2020

Greetings everyone,

I'm just wondering who is interested in helping me re-build the (Disco Wiki) to what it once was? We have many tools we can now use like FLStat, Interactive Nav-Map, and ingame information cards but even those can have a serious lack of update.

So I'm wondering who is interested in going area by area (Liberty, Rheinland, Kusari) or have a "player group" designated to updating an area of bases, stations, player groups ext.

Just wondering who'd make a commitment in helping update it? Would story, system and ID devs be happy to assist with information that we could implement to the wiki also?

Thanks,
Bellck.

As I quote:
Quote:This means that most of our 5,108 pages will need updating for the new mod version, with all that that implies. In other words: Please pardon our dust, and expect it to take some time. This is a community effort, after all.

Edit 2.0: Discord Added: https://discord.gg/h4Nggrz

Edit 3.0: All comments of Wikipedia and any connection to the same is forbidden, this has been edited to "Disco Wiki" for that single purpose only Big Grin lol

I always liked the wiki, so im definetly in for this. I got a lot of spare time ahead of me since exams are over (for now at least) so if we make a separate discord server or sth for this, which we should to be more organized, let me know.
Im in for it.

It's an ambitious project, but I can chip in a page or two

Discord added. *Its brand new* but its not about the Discord, its about the wiki!

I don't mean to be a downer but the wiki is useless when we have things such as FLStat. It'll take a lot of effort for almost no gains, especially when the mod is constantly changing.

Count me in, it's a good resource and when we all chip in a mostly updated one.

A bit like being a Game Master? maximum effort no gain.

It's not about a loss Connor, it's about making the wiki great again and an easy go to page for new players. If it needs updating, we'll update it. Plenty are encouraged and want to help with this. Please get involved.

Thanks,
Bellck.

I don't mean to be a downer but FLStat doesn't have everything Discovery Wiki has
Plus a thing like the wiki can be way more useful

Anyways you are partialy right @Connor indeed discovery mod changes often but as you probably know not many things have been added most of them need just to be deleted and locations ships/equipment/commodities has to be changed. And Im sure if enough people want to put their effort in it we can easily put the wiki back on the track and most of all keep it updated.
Since I saw DScore failed I would like, in free time, to dedicate myself in helping out restoring the discovery wiki with all of you
