A call to arms - Traxit - 06-21-2020

It's been a few years since Kuroh Tatsuya wore his badge, being off-duty for so long made him forget. Forget the cause, forget the reasons, the duty, the loyalty, and the zeal to uphold serenity within Kusari and her borders. Kuroh wasn't conscripted when the Gallic menace made Kusari submit to her dominion, but he was participant at the age of the Republic - the age that would make the Chrysanthemums flourish in trafficking, the Dragons overstep with their jerry-built warships, and Samura lose grasp in the northern regions. The retired Santo-Kaisa rose quickly to his rank, but fell short & stagnant when Kusari plunged into dormancy. He would dispatch & dispose of smugglers and renegades alike with fervour on his faithful Kishiro-made Raijin - a swank alternative to the fragile Chimaera - and even partaked in a few operations. One of which he holds with immense remorse, the night that the infamous gang-leader of the now-defunct Sisterhood of Dreams - Hana Ken - escaped her incarceration whilst being transported to a different cell. The season afterwards would become quiet in Kusari, making the remnant Exiles evident in the Taus. The Exiles would not heed the Republic's withdrawal from the frontier and continue fighting with whatever little resources and determination they had, utilizing Guerrila tactics. Sequentially - Kuroh was present in the subduction of the 343 battlegroup, finally culling the wayward leaders that would mislead her battalion. This is where Kusari truly fell into wearisome tranquillity. The last-few Exiles used this moment to march with the Akatsuki and assault Kyushu, making her submit to Imperial rule. A monumental event that sparked the Nation's want to return to the golden days of the Empire. Alas, grizzled Tatsuya was nowhere to be seen at this ordeal, as he retired shortly before it. Kuroh never wanted to fight his own brethern, the people who swore loyalty to Kusari, he never wanted to spill the blood of soldiers who swore fealty to Kusari before.

One of Kuroh's closest colleagues in the force was Mei Isogai, a rather brash & vocal combat pilot - also utilizing the trusty Raijin - who'd be colloquially known as "Tatsuya's wing-woman", as a result of being overshadowed by his exceptional achievements. Both pilots conscripted from the same class of recruitees, and would often see each-other on a daily basis, albeit not while off-duty. Still, they had a rather peculiar friendship.

In his ossified period, the veteran turned over to civilian-life, of which he would overindulge with sake. A raging drunk like him would incite attention and often start meaningless bar-fights, gaining a few blemishes on his profile. Being a frequent visitor of the Golden Dragon made him slowly gain the trust of its inhabitants, eventually becoming an accomplice and later on a fully-fledged associate. Kuroh would don an alias for his nightlife activities - how else would he remain incognito - he'd intermittently work for the Majima family that holds majority ownership of the illustrious casino, providing reconciliation where it's due or sending uncordial parties to the nearest medical center for rehabilitation. Kuroh has established himself prestige within the syndicate to form his own little gang of rascals, albeit just a few. One of them specializes in outside-diplomacy and trade, recently trying to form a lucrative business arrangement with the denizens of Bering. Others are skilled combat pilots - just like him.

At the present moment, Kuroh Tatsuya has seen a recession in the Hogosha enterprise. Turning back to his vice of sake indulgence, although not as bad as before, as he can control his temper eloquently now - a fun side-effect of being a businessman. He would also lift his head up for a change, not being drowned in sorrow so much, he now notices the TV-panel that hanged up high, providing the latest news and stereotypical Kusarian game-shows. He'd be surprised to see the Coalition get kicked out of Kyushu - when & how did they get here in the first place anyway - no one knows, thankfully nobody noticed they arrived and went so swiftly. Then came the face of Sanae Miyasu - a familiar one, yet he seemed to have a hard time recalling her occupation, so seeing her as the new Prime Minister was a bewildering mystery. Nevertheless, the speech penetrated deep into the veteran's spirit, causing memories to reminiscence, and primordial duties to resurface and interfere with his mindset.

"Is it time to dust-off the uniform?"
Kuroh Tatsuya - previously a Santo-Kaisa in the Naval Forces, presently an associate for the Hogosha, is contemplating on undoing his retirement.
