Ok I was in Theta killing bounty hunters when this guy comes up.. Kraked Dude and starts tractoring in my loot. I get pissed, obviously, ask him to drop the BHG Pilots.. wait 30 seconds say "This is your only warning" wait another 30 seconds and then I killed him. This happened in Omicron Theta so the last thing on my mind was "Jee, better check his level". I didn't realise he was level 30 untill after I already killed him for theiving my loot. And even so, theiving someones loot should fall under the "they fired first" category.

So, administration, *if* i need to be banned for this here is your proof and admittance already.

I don't care if you killed me, i can forgive you for that but I can't type
because the NPCs will shoot me, so if I stand still they'll kill me

I got a DEFENDER with a lvl 4 shield the BHs can easily kill me if I
don't dodge thier fire and I want my torps back.

I was going to drop your "prisoner" but you barely gave me 30 secs as you said.

I'm just curious as to how I am wrong? I was sitting at Corfu killing BHG for fun while trading on my laptop, first thing he did was run up and grab the loot from my most recent kill.

Even with that knowledge, if I am wrong, my apologies.

I gave you enough time to kill 2 level 16+ BHG Fighters in your Defender.

In the future I guess I should scan more. And you should probrably refrain from stealing peoples loot. And by the way, the torpedo you fired before you died killed both of our loot.

Well I got a new load of torps from the BHs I sold so it's ok now.

@Admins, It was a mistake so there's no need to ban anyone.

I wish I had realised that. Like I said out in the border worlds I don't think about checking levels. I noticed it was a liberty fighter but I assumed it was the VHF.

When you said under level thirty, I checked char screen saw level 5 and went "Oh crap" hence the thread.

Anyways apologies 'round the table.. looks like this is taken care of. heh

Well, it was a misunderstanding after all. Good to see that the problem is settled.

About the loot. It does not belong to anyone until it is tractored aboard the ship. Although, if you see a player killing NPC and a lot of loot around it, it is considered polite to ask if you can take the loot.

About the low lvl kill. Yes. The [unwritten] engagement procedure requires to scan the target before opening fire. It is not on the rules. But is implicit in almost every combat situation where your target is not an obvious enemy.
