As of yesterday Med Force has been issued the station keys to the "Lost Research Platform" in Sigma 19. The station has been unused for years and Med Force wishes to use this station for research into a promising drug which can both cure long-term radiation exposure as well as safeguard people from it's effects prior to exposure. Where Med Force hoped to do research into this drug together with Cryer this cooperation was not possible. This has set back the development and research significantly and this station can help us speed up the work.

I am aware that this station is in your space. Before I would even want to use the research facility I would very much hope for your approval of Med Force using this station. After all, it was originally designed as a research platform and would certainly help Med Force's non-profit work to those in need.

Good afternoon Guildmaster Namura,

After reading your message it has become very clear that my actions may have opened an old wound regarding this facility. While at no time I had any intention of violating Guild Laws I am afraid my actions may have inadvertently done just that very thing which I hoped to avoid at all costs. For that I offer you and the Guild my sincere apology.

Allow me to shed some light on events that have led us here.

In my previous message I enclosed a link to our groundbreaking research. Where MFE had hoped to intensify this research together with Cryer Pharmaceuticals by making use of their research facilities, this venture did not take off and was subsequently halted. As our research facility in Baffin does not have the space nor materials for the work which lies ahead of us I went out looking for real estate which would serve us well for the next coming years.

Through the help of an intermediate, Sirius Finance Inc (SFI), I found a place in the Donryu cloud in Sigma-19. When communicating with SFI regarding this facility I was shown detailed schematics and they assured me that the previous owner of the facility had all the licenses and permits and was authorised to exist in that particular place. Overjoyed with both the facility and the location (which would lend itself perfectly for the research project into radioactivity) I signed the agreement as I (in hindsight naively) assumed that a station this old would certainly have been destroyed if it would be seen as a threat. The keys were delivered electronically by a real estate firm named GM LLC.

Now to address your concerns.

It’s without doubt that I as a physician and MFE in general have seen the effects of cardamine in people and the society. Our hospital in Theta treats patients who suffer from substance abuse on a daily basis and the hospital even has a specialised clinic for this very reason. Suffice to say that in the plans for the research station we deny the storage of cardamine (or any other contraband) and should our security staff find these items the vessel in question shall be denied access from the station. Furthermore, an official complaint would be made to the authorities to which that vessel may belong. MFE does not allow her facilities to become grounds where goods labeled as contraband can be freely traded or even brought aboard. This in compliance with Guild laws or any laws in areas we operate. As I hope MFE to be allowed to conduct research our activities shall not be a threat to the guild’s exploitation of mining areas nor the economy of the Guild.

You addressed the safety of the Sigma systems and I can assure you that the plans which we have for this facility would in no way undermine, circumvent or risk the safety of the system or those operating in it. These plans are yours to see at all times. Apart from the research we do plan to have a clinic which specializes in radiation illnesses. This clinic is solemnly for those aboard the station and I can assure you there can be places reserved for GMG personnel. This way, in the unlikely event of your personnel needing critical care, we have the space and the team to provide just that care.

Which brings me down to pursuing a closer cooperative relationship. It goes without saying that I very much like the idea of intensifying cooperation where MFE strives for mutual understanding, cooperation and synergy. So that in the end our combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects..

As you stated that the Guild sees the work of MFE as 'most valuable’ I propose that we reach an agreement whereby the Guild by exception allows MFE to operate this research facility in its present location in the Donryu cloud while MFE adheres to the laws of the Guild. We will share our research with you and would welcome your researchers to join our research teams. MFE would also welcome GMG security personnel to join it’s own security team and all hired researchers shall be vetted by GMG security specialists prior to commencing work at the facility. Furthermore, I like to propose that in return for MFE being allowed to operate this facility in its present location, we shall not share, rent or lease the facility with anyone without your prior consent. In the event we no longer have use for this facility we shall donate it to the Guild.

I hope that both you and the Guild can see that I on behalf of MFE merely wish to use this station for our research. It's certainly a unique station in a perfect spot for our research projects which happens to be constructed long ago in an area of space under your control. In my humble opinion, it's destruction would be a waste and should our research project result in an actual radiation treatment then this station, upon MFE donating it to the Guild, may very well become a viable asset to your organisation.

Even when I feel the contents of your reply are most unfortunate I still thank you for taking your time and reply to my proposal in such detail. I do believe this is the very strength of a guild; to take ample time and reply with a reply to each and every portion of the message sent to them.

I mentioned unfortunate which of course, only applies to Med Force Enterprises with obtaining a base in your territory. We respect your sovereignty and I again personally apologize for not having the foresight to contact you prior to becoming owner of this facility. Having said that, this facility shall be moved and I hope you will allow me to have a meeting with you in person as to talk over any and all details regarding this operation.

While many others may see your decision to 'scuttle' this station as an act of aggression or war we at Med Force Enterprises have the oath to 'do no harm' and this means that there is nothing to do for us but to focus our efforts on what we do best, caring for the wellbeing of mankind no matter what side they are on and even when they oppose us. So as you mentioned before that you see the work of MFE as most valuable, MFE sees life of any and all as most valuable. For this reason GMG (like anyone else) will always be welcome for any and all care they may need. Long story short, we (I) do not hold a grudge.

There was indeed an alteration to the docking rights which was done by the security chief (a hired contractor) upon reading your message to 'scuttle' the station. He perceived it as an imminent attack declaration and single-handedly adjusted the docking rights. Now this is something MFE does not condone and you may see that docking rights have been restored as the skeleton crews are still capable of providing emergency care to those in need.

Regarding the supplies, yes I have authorised those as this old facility is being moved out of your system like I mentioned before. In order to have her moved she (the station) does need to be strengthened as she would not survive it otherwise. I wanted to meet with you in person to explain the details and clarify on our intentions and operations but unfortunately you did not follow up on that offer.

What you call 'acts of aggression' are none whatsoever. On behalf of MFE you have been given our solemn promise that we will move this facility from your premises yet, as we are in a Catch-22, we cannot move it before strengthening her and we are very close to finishing this job.

In your previous message you mentioned seeing the work of MFE as 'most valuable' which it truly is. Now my actions have caused this disturbance for which I take full responsibility yet I do ask of you to give us the time to have this facility moved as this movement operation has been scheduled for August 14th.

If you let us take the time it takes, it will take less time.

I am thankful that this communications channel is still open for I ensure you, Med Force does not have any hostile intentions whatsoever (nor will it ever wish to do so, we are a medical corporation, we do no harm) and we want this base moved as soon as humanly and technically possible as to restore friendly relations between MFE and The Guild. Something which I honestly believe can be done. As long as we keep talking and find solutions for those things which seem to drive a wedge in what can only be considered long and friendly relations.

As an attack declaration was just passed to me there is only one question I can ask: If you do not want this facility in your space is there any reason why you are so adamant on having it destroyed rather than have MFE move this out of your space?

If the sheer destruction of this station is your primary objective whilst knowing that it is owned by a Zoner humanitarian corporation who has already put in motion everything to have the station moved than tell me, what or who has done you so much harm to be so keen on the destruction of property? Property which has been sitting idly in your space for such a long time?

And, apart from your intentions to it's destruction, is there anything else which can be done from our part, from my part?
