Hello! - Miaximus - 08-02-2020

Greetings!

I am Miax.. Sometimes I go by Miaximus. My daughters and I have played Freelancer since it first came out, and we love it. My eldest goes by TimeBomb (Zone), and my youngest by Shiza or Shizuka. They grew up to Freelancer and still enjoy it (though not as much as I do).

I come originally from IonCross, where I was a system developer (made 1 complete system) and ship developer (changed many aspects of some ships, especially lighting). I also ran the IonCross server for about 3 years before we moved away from good internet.

IonCross has since, sadly closed down, and we got back into Freelancer again, finding Discovery. Wow what a difference! I very much love the depth of the game here, the size of the universe an the lore are amazing. The ship combat is not as balanced as I recall on IonCross (where a counter-measure could actually stop a cruise disruptor, and NPCs shot them too), but Discovery has so much depth to its lore that I like it much better.

The Role Play aspect of the server is also an amazing feature, something I am still getting used to but like very much. My hat is off to the owners and developers of Discovery; you have done a top-notch job and deserve to be commended and celebrated.

We'll see you in space!

Miax

I remember IonCross, it was cool and unique, quite revolutionary in its day. That's a blast from the past.
