OORP Notice: Noble Titles - The Kingdom of Bretonia - 08-17-2020

From now on, the titles of Baronet and Esquire are now open for free role-play in Bretonia without necessary acknowledgement by the Bretonian Government. Characters with these titles are automatically acknowledged as legitimate. The nobility is an important part of the Bretonian society and this decision was reached in order to allow players to play characters who were born into nobility and don't necessarily have to earn a title.

The title of Baronet is the lowest formal noble title, below the title of Lord. The title of Lord can't be opened because the Lords are part of the Bretonian Government, so if someone wishes to play a Lord, the title will have to be conferred upon their character by the Government in order to be legitimate.

The title of Esquire is an informal noble title and is usually carried by children of noblemen who haven't been conferred upon proper titles yet.
