[Project] Bordeaux Orbital Terminal - Groshyr - 09-07-2020 Issoudun Shipyard, Aquitaine system
September 7, 743 AGS Sender: Quartermaster Chrystelle Guertin, Enclave Defence Authority Recipient: Enclave Headquarters Subject: Bordeaux Orbital Terminal Dear members of the High Command.
As you well know the original project of the Bordeaux Orbital Terminal was developed in cooperation with Montluc Advanced Engineering. However, due to the recent events, happened to the corporal leadership, they are no more able to fulfill this contract for us and thus we take initiative to our hands. The orbital terminal has advantages over a regular docking ring and mooring fixture scheme so popular in both Gallia and Sirius. Consider this as a breakthrough in sub-orbital engineering, originally developed by MAE but improved by our engineers and their personnel joint us after their collapse. Nevertheless, back to the chase. Some of the following are direct quotes of Montluc's words, some are brief introduction of other points he mentioned in the said report. The list provided by MAE in one of their reports regarding the project:
The said general provisions are to be taken into consideration, ensuring that the work will remain stable and unhindered, during the entire realization of the project. The orbital construction site, following the MAE idea, is to be organized with temporary small platforms used to join the important modules of the terminal in question and to provide housing for the personnel working on the site. The concept of the Bordeaux Orbital Terminal Schematics provided by MAE Engineering Division found sufficient enough for our current needs but improved with military technologies. Therefore the station's durability and protection have been increased. The station has to allow multiple ships up to the Valor's size to dock and support the flow of ships in and out of the planet, as well as the increased flow resulting from deploying the station in question. The station is to be built of separate modules, more of which can be added after the completion of the construction to expand the capacity of the orbital terminal. The construction will need a significant share of materials for all the stages. Some of them can be fabricated by us, others are to be delivered by our supporters outside of the Hebrides. The following sheet is a list of resources required for establishing a construction site with the said temporal infrastructure for workers and the construction itself.
Security for the entire project shall be provided by Royal Navy forces in the sector as well as Bordeaux orbital defence fleet, guarding the planet. Besides, from the ideas offered by MAE personnel regarding the upgrade of the said terminal, I would point an idea by mademoiselle Brisson of an R&D. She offered to increase the repair capabilities of the station by adding additional repair ships and drydocks and therefore decrease the stress of Issoudun shipyard, allowing it to concentrate on priority repairs. I also believe the former engineering division of MAE may find themselves interested to be occupied by the said repair works at the orbital terminal for sufficient payment, for sure. This also may be said regarding the other divisions, employees of which are willing to keep working for us. Transmission End
