Vista, Cannot Connect - jdubeau1986 - 03-24-2009

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone had founda solution for Running FL under vista... I have tried everything... I would really like this working on my laptop wich is vista only i have dual-booted my Desktop with windows XP Temporarily to allow me to play..

So far these are the steps ive taken:

1- Full - Re-install of the mod..
2- Disabled Windows Firewall (Service, App)
3- Disabled AVG Anti Virus
4- Turned Off IPv6
5- Turned Off Windows Defender Fully (Service Also)
6- Ran as Admin

i do see the servers but i get a message saying the server may have just gone offline... But im logged in fine from my XP Client... Any Ideas guys?

I'm fairly sure you need to uninstall AVG. I switched to Avira, and everything is working fine.

AVG used to work, but not anymore. Use something like Avast instead, that will work fine. (Actually Avast didn't work before, and now it does). Disabling the scanner does nothing, you need to completely remove it.

Oh also forgot to meantion. Avast will work IF you do not install the "Network Scanner" that is the cause of it not connecting. It has a web scanner but that's fine, only does http requests not anything else like FL.
