Relatively new, relatively old - Sabes - 09-22-2020

Hi Everyone!

I've been on discovery for about 2 months or so. I have very little experience with the mod, I played on Archie's ages ago, but so long ago now that it might as well be a different mod.

I originate from the GOI (GetOnIt) Server based in Australia back when FL was reasonably new, flying under the tag Sabes.

I bumped into the disco server when I went back to another nostalgic trip down freelancer memory lane. Missing the multiplayer aspect I looked longingly at the servers still running (this one, followed by a short list of servers with <5 people daily, then a long list of deserted servers) and I decided my prejudice against mods and my fear of European ping shouldn't stop me from trying to play online once more. So I downloaded disco (refreshingly easy to do) and here I am.

I found the learning curve very scary at first, especially as I jumped into mining and there was enough outdated information online that I got completely lost. But I've since caught back up enough that I'm having fun once more.

I am very new to the role-playing side, and the server is rather quiet during Australian prime playing time, but I am otherwise enjoying myself exploring and bumbling around trying to find a goal to strive towards.

If you see my flying around in space, feel free to say hi!

Welcome aboard. Nice to see people still comming to this server. I recently rejoined and I know first hand how overwhelming disco can be. If you ever need some help, don‘t hesitate to ask.
Have fun out there.
