I noticed when on Heisenberg Research Station with my Red Hessian cruiser Der rote Hammer that both Coalition and Coalition Military appear in my reputation list. The description of both factions is exactly the same, the reputations are different: +5 for the Coalition, +9 for CM. They started the same and the reputation of CM increased when doing missions.

One of these is the ID players can get, the other is the IFF used on some of the Coalition bases.
It's mostly a legacy element from past versions, if I am remembering correctly.

Coalition and Coalition military having one ID but represents Civil and Military branches. Unfortunately, besides Official factions we cannot use 2 different IDs for Coalition and Coalition Military

A-and it doesn't have to be this way, imo. This kind of factions (Corsairs, Outcasts, Crayter, and also Coalition), that aren't Houses in fact, but are close to Houses in internal structure, never had more than one IFF. Why should Coalition have two IFFs? It only brings confusion. It really leaves the impression that it more like a bug, tbh.
