The Holstein Meeting - Alpha.Wolf - 01-20-2021 In the early morning the Cruiser von Braun arrived on the Surface of Holstein. Großadmiral von Thielau, Governor von Bäke, Rheinland‘s minister for inner security and Reichskanzler Volker von Koch left the ship with their security guards and headed towards the room, reserved for the meeting by the Daumann CEO. Karl-Heinz looked around and took a deep breath. "Volker! It is a nice day isn’t it?" "Jawoll, I agree with you Karl-Heinz! I hope we can achive something real today, I don’t want to spend my time on looking into federal Faces and hear nothing that can bring peace to our Volk..." Karl-Heinz looked at the grumbling Reichskanzler. "Volker, you really need your daily Kaffee! Herr Siegfried sounded like he really wants to unify our Vaterland again. I am convinced we can come to a conclusion." "If you say so I will trust you, Governor. Let us hope your instincts are useful today. The Kaiser wants results mein Freund." The old Großadmiral nods and walks towards a Dauman official waiting in front of a huge complex. "Guten Tag der Herr. Erzherzog Karl-Heinz von Thielau. We are here for the meeting with the representatives of the Federal Government. Herr von Gunn was informed that we arrive. Please lead us to our room." "Zu Befehl Herr Admiral, please follow me." The men follow the worker into the building and take their seats. The chancellor of the empire looks at his men. "Nun die Herren, we just have to wait for the federal Representatives to arrive." RE: The Holstein Meeting - EisenSeele - 01-24-2021 "Disengage cloak in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1..." Siegfried felt the bulkheads of the LV-GRAM groan under his feet, as the ship returned to alert condition one. The bridge lights shifted from operations red to the regular white, and the walls of the transit pod hissed open. After briefly stretching his sore legs, Siegfried slapped the release of his safety harness. He turned to the berth on his right, to a disoriented Minister Leonie Karadeniz. "I hope your flight was a pleasant one, Minister. It's not every day that dignitaries such as yourself experience a covert deployment operation" Karadeniz groggily rubbed her eyes and clumsily undid her harness. "I think it will take some getting used to, but I sincerely hope our return trip will be under different circumstances. That is, if there is to be a return trip." Retrieving his walking stick from his aide, Siegfried took several steps out of the pod and straightened his plain service uniform. "Either we will succeed, or we'll be too busy or dead to care about failure for long." "Let's hope the Imperial delegation is more reasonable than you are optimistic." With a tacit nod to an aide, Siegfried took his first few steps through an opening ramp down to the surface of Holstein. His silent but trusty Generaloberinspektor Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke followed to his right, and Minister Karadeniz to his left. RE: The Holstein Meeting - Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke - 01-24-2021 Generaloberinspektor was indeed, quiet as the delegation walked down the hallways through narrow corridors... but rather - because she was deep in thought. She personally did all possible preparation for that day an agent of her rank would have deemed necessary: her Folkvangr - is in position in Taunusfeld, direct communcation line with it established, tested and is running stable as well as her life signs being constantly monitored. In addition, Wilcke herself has been carrying an entire arsenal of assorted weapons - she's not only a delegate - she's also a security measure. "But all those preparations are unnecessary, and I'm just paranoid..." - such was her hope. The hope for honesty of peaceful intentions of their adversaries that's yet to be proven. RE: The Holstein Meeting - Alpha.Wolf - 01-24-2021 Von Koch has lightened a cigarette shortly before the federal delegation walks in. The Military escort politely saluts to the Delegation and the imperial Delegation stands up. Volker smiles. "Meine Damen und Herren, it is about time that you arrive! We have prepared everything in the meantime. The Kaiser excuses himself, I am here to enforce his will and wishes for the talks. For those who don’t know me yet, I am Kurfürst Volker von Koch. Reichskanzler seiner Majestät, Kaiser Hans-Fredrick von Albrecht" He pauses and smokes. His eyes walk around the federal delegation. He looks at the Agents and his eyes stopped on the Hauptkommissarin. "It has been a long time since I lead your forces. This Agent. She reminds me how I worked for the Büro. Against Aliens. Against Terrorism. Against the enemies of our Vaterland. It is a shame that our Vaterland and his Citizen had to suffer because of our political Ideologies. But now, we are here, everyone is here to bring peace to our Vaterland, I believe. Nun, please let me introduce you to the representatives of the Empire of Rheinland: This is Großadmiral Karl-Heinz von Thielau, the Archduke, Governor of Stuttgart represents our Military in this meeting. Then we have Admiral Franz von Bäke, Governor of Hamburg, and our Minister for inner Security, Peter Obernhauser. Herr Direktor, I guess, would you mind to introduce us to your Delegation?" The Chancellor of the empire smokes and looks at the Büro Direktor, awaiting his answer. RE: The Holstein Meeting - Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke - 01-24-2021 Quite a colorful representation the Imperial delegation had - the elite, the upper crust, the finest of them all have now been gathered here. Hauptinspektorin, who have attracted more attention than she anticipated; Agent did not flinch and her expression remained calm and stoic, and her tone was nothing but respectful. The great struggle is in the past, and guns have finally fallen silent. It have came time for diplomacy to take lead instead. "Herr von Koch, I am not so easily impressed, though admittedly, your remark resonates well with my own beliefs. I serve no political regime but the people of Rheinland. And so shall we all. Reaching the consensus today is the first step to that goal - our citizens should have never raised arms against their own compatriots. However, damage is already done and repairing it is what we shall strive for... But where are my manners. I am Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke, Generaloberinspektorin of the Büro. The pleasure is all mine, angesehene Delegierte, though, I believe, you have perceived my rank wrong. Forgive me taking the word from the Direktor, I shall now pass the word on to the rightful spokesperson." RE: The Holstein Meeting - EisenSeele - 01-25-2021 The Director gently nodded in greeting, subtly gesturing at the Minister to his left. "You have our thanks for agreeing to host these talks. I present to you Minister Leonie Karadeniz, representative of the democratically elected Rheinland Federal Government." Minister Karadeniz stepped forward. "Herren und Damen, I have the honor of representing the civilian Federal Government for this historic peace negotiation. I hope that we can all agree that this civil war has spilled enough Rheinlander blood, and that further conflict is not only meaningless, but mutually self destructive for the Rheinland people." The Minister turned to the Director, as he stepped forward and spoke with a soft but firm tone. "I am Director Siegfried. I will be representing the Federal Military on behalf of the Federal Admiralty. I look forward to working with you all to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome for a united and peaceful Rheinland." He also gestured to the Generaloberinspektor. "I believe that Generaloberinspektor Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke has sufficiently introduced herself. She will be part of my council, and coordinate with our security detail for the duration of these talks. Siegfried nodded at the Minister and the Generaloberinspektor. They took their seats, as the Director slowly walked towards his. "I believe we're ready to begin." RE: The Holstein Meeting - Alpha.Wolf - 01-25-2021 Volker looks at the Minister and the Direktor nodding to show his respect for those who have come to bring hope to the Volk of Rheinland. While smoking he listens carefully to the words spoken and finally turns to the Delegation again. "Erfreut to get to know all of you, werte Deligierte. Frau Wilcke, 'tschuldigung that your Rank has been wrong in my information, my Intelligence days have ended a bit too long ago it seems." Volker takes his seat and gestures his friends of the Empire to do the same. "Herr Direktor, you and Frau Wilcke and Frau Karadeniz maybe want to come and sit down with us to start why we are here. To bring our Volk together again." He puts on his glasses while the Großadmiral of the Rheinwehr passes him a pen and some empty papers. "Direktor, maybe you want to start and tell us what has motivated your idea to come here to actually talk to us and maybe go on with the points your Regierung wants us to do that you accept a re-unification of the Vaterland." RE: The Holstein Meeting - EisenSeele - 02-02-2021 Siegfried extended his left hand palm-side up over the table. Seemingly from nowhere, a large holographic cartographic projection of Rheinland appeared over his outstretched fingertips. Real-time battle lines between Federalist and Imperial forces split Rheinland in two, with up-to-date casualty statistics and projected loss analyses hovering to the side. "This is what we are here for, ladies and gentlemen. I believe the recent defense of Thuringia has demonstrated the impossibility of a quick and decisive victory for you - and there is likewise little chance of the reverse. The loss of Rheinlander lives to this war has been high, but is merely a drop in the ocean to what will come if we continue to insist on grinding the best of our fleets against each other." The Director closed his hand to a fist and opened it once more - and the hologram transitioned to a projection of anti-war protests of all populated planets across Rheinland, from New Berlin to Weimar - as well as breakouts of spontaneous combat disengagements in forces along the entire front. "This war has lost any semblance of popular mandate that it may have had, and it's time that we find a way to reconcile and bring this travesty to a close." Siegfried closed his hand once more, turning off the projection, and brought his hand back to rest. He turned to the Minister and gave a nod. Minister Karadeniz returned the nod as she began addressing the table. "It is the opinion of the Rheinland Federal Government that a formalization of the current armistice, as well as a roadmap to reunification is paramount to the continued survival of a Rheinland state. We of the Federalist delegation are vested with the authority to negotiate on behalf of the Federalist government to facilitate a mutually beneficial and respectful set of terms as a groundwork to a new unified Rheinland state." Siegfried cleared his throat. "Now that formal introductions are out of the way, let us discuss how best to reunify Rheinland." RE: The Holstein Meeting - Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke - 02-14-2021 Generaloberinspektorin politely allowed Direktor to hold his speech and come forth with the initiative of going on with actual discussion of pressing matters. And Dietlinde-Wilcke had such matter to bring before the treaty draft is presented. It is to her probably unpopular belief that it might require... certain amendements to it to actually reflect people's desire of unity. "Angesehene Delegierte, we speak loud words of unification - however, it is to my belief that there won't be true unity in Rheinland as long as we disregard minor communities that exist within our House and certain conditions forced them to turn violent. Disgruntled farmers of Stuttgart and shipyard workers of Alster we now know as Landwirtechbewegung and Alster Union have turned to arms and revolted because their voices fell on deaf ears of our predecessors. In spirit of good faith their chosen people should be allowed to represent their movements in the new government and their opinions taken into account. As well as reintegration programms enacted for any members willing to go through with it and accept it's conditions. Please consider my proposition." |
