To Gateway Shipping || From Makassar Station Administration - Makassar Station - 02-16-2021

Greetings Gateway Shipping Representatives,

My name is Elliott Reyes, Chief Administrator of Makassar Station. Our installation is a fairly new commercial platform operating in the southern regions of Tau 23 as both a mining depot and commercial exchange point. Our wider goals include bringing profitable stability to the Tau Border Worlds and helping business folk everywhere recognize the area more as a commercial center and not a backwater region to be depleted and extracted.

With Makassar's growth, we are bringing on new foreign representatives to encourage the buying and selling of ores and goods here to aid in shorter, but still highly lucrative trade routes for freight haulers.
Makassar has its roots in IMG and Crayterian personnel, both of which have had strong ties to your corporation in the past. We would like to guage your companies interest in two subjects.

The first is whether Gateway would be interested in a substantial contract in the near future for our next expansion, bringing in material and hardware needed for the construction should we come to financial terms agreeable to your logistical department.

The second, more immediate, is our interest in your Pristine Ice operation aboard Oceana Shipping in Cortez. We've located buyers in western Gallia interested in bulk acquisition of Pristine Ice and would be willing to dedicate cold storage warehousing aboard Makassar to act as a transfer point, thus giving a short, highly profitable trade route for your hauling vessels to capitalize on. We have a couple ideas on return goods to maximize your profit gain and keep it on par with your other route options.

Please, review these concepts and we look forward to delving further into the details upon your response.

Best Wishes,

Elliott Reye
Makassar Station

Dear Mr. Reyes,
Sorry for the delay, I have personally been busy with logistical matters, the same could be said of my partners.
As you well know, TAU systems are now a field of opportunity and as a businessman I cannot help looking at your proposal with interest. So let's take a step forward and tell us concisely what you propose.
I am sure that we can reach a good mutually beneficial agreement.

Best regards.

Greetings Mr. Ramsay,

We thank you for your response. The ongoing offer we would present Gateway is in regard to your Pristine Ice operation. Makassar has onsite merchants who've agreed to purchasing bulk quantities of Pristine Ice for a lucrative price 5,700 credits per ton. When brought aboard a Shetland sized hauler, that is a profit of nearly 26,000 credits/second which I am informed is relative to other options available to your freight routes. To sweeten this offer, we've scouted the nearby stations for a return commodity for your freighters and found that Vierzon Mining Facility in neighboring Orkney (accessible through a nearby stable jump anomaly) sells Tantalum. This metal is of high interest to industries on Planet Curacao and gives an excellent return commodity route of over 21,000 credits per second (in an advanced train capacity).

We hope this offer is of value to you as a secondary route to your freight captains interested in shorter, but still equally lucrative trade within their relative neighborhood and look forward to further work with Gateway Shipping in the future.

Best Wishes,

Elliott Reye

Mr. Reyes,
Let me say to you and to your organization that I have found your offer quite delightning.
At Gateway we are always more than willing to add another string to the bow.
We appreciate your concern in offering us a return route, our logistics offices here in Lewes are taking care of it at the moment and Mr. Reyes, as a token of good faith, let me tell you that a shipment of the most crystalline ice is on its way towards your facilities in the Tau-23 system, just let us know when you're ready to take in the cargo. Our drivers are full of beans and ready to depart. Of course we will keep you informed. In the short time we will be sending some armored transports and security personnel due to the turbulent nature of these territories.
If you have any further doubts or questions, don't hesitate to call me. And if you're around, come visit any time at Lewes, tea is served at six.

Kind regards.

Mr. Ramsay,

I am delighted to hear your positive response. My administration has made the necessary preparations and allocated the cold storage. You may notify your pilots we are ready for their shipments at their leisure.
Tau 31 is but a skip away, I'll have to take you up on that offer some time for a chat at Lewes.

Thank you again for your business and we look forward to further enterprise.

Best Wishes,
