OVERVIEW

The Enclave's return to the fold in Gallic politics triggered intense outrage and disgust among many of the Royalists' former "subjects." As a result, the Maquis have rejuvenated their ranks with their simple, harsh, and violent political messages. In an attempt to take advantage of the logistical nightmares plaguing the reincorporation of Enclave refugees and military assets, Maquisards, working closely with their new Gaian allies, were quick to find possible weak areas to strike. In Orkney, an exposed transport convoy strung out from the trade lane network and bound for the recently-towed Issoudun Shipyard may provide the perfect target to suffer their defiance, revenge, and hated. Ever willing to find a place to profit in Gallia's transitional state, local Brigands needed little convincing to join the operation and lend their own version of reprisal politics to the upcoming confrontation.

Overeager Maquisards have pre-emptively attempted to capture as many refugees from the convoy as possible, but in their advance assault, they were left stranded aboard the damaged liner Dudourbieu while others were able to take control of the Ailette and find refuge in the vast Stronsay field. Understanding their plight, those who occupy Dudourbieu's bridge brace to defend against the expected Gallic counterattack to provide time for the Ailette to escape.

DETAILS

  • $12.5m bounty rewards have been added for Maquis, Gaian, and Brigand IDs against Gallic Navy and Gallic National Intelligence IDs.
  • $12.5m bounty rewards have been added for Gallic Navy and Gallic National Intelligence IDs against Maquis, Gaian, and Brigand IDs.
  • Gallic Forces will siege the Maquis-controlled Dudourbieu, which will need to be defended.
  • Maquisard and allied forces will move Heavy Explosive Ordinance from Avon Hideout to the Ailette until a certain amount is reached - small ships will need to run the gauntlet.
  • Should Maquisard and allied forces successfully defend Dudourbieu AND meet the amount of Explosives needed for Ailette, they will be victorious.
  • Should Gallic Forces destroy the Dudourbieu AND keep the requisite number of Explosives from reaching Ailette, they will be victorious.
  • Failure for either side to complete both objectives will result in a draw.

Date:

March 5th through March 7th

Rule changes:
  • For the duration of the event, Orkney will have a 30 minute death counter instead of 1 hour.

Unless I am reading it wrong - seems like rewards will be for combat results (and trading I guess)

Trade and Siege are just for story impact

siege = caps
trade = transports (or bustard jump traders which is just caps but even worse at combat)
both are boring so point stands

As a heads-up and for feedback - If the commodities get delivered prior, I'll do a hour respawn pew at 18:00 UTC on Sunday so folks can log in Orkney and swap over to Nu at 19:00 UTC (also go sign up).

It seems like the Maquis pob is using an invulnerable archetype solar. It cannot be damaged. Unless you edited it server side? It has no HP bar.
