Corruption and Deception! - Unity - 03-05-2021 Corruption and Deception! The Interorogation- 826 AS _________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ A foul smell emanated from the room, smells of toxic fuel, used machinery and thick smoke filled the room Whilst the room was well lit, with only the occasional chat down the halls and banter. Nearby there was a person sat at the table. The man who was being held on the station was still recovering from his latest voyage and was brought by security to the man at the table. The man is told to sit at the nearby table. "Will that be all Sir?"Saluting to the man."Yes, thank you officer, that will be all."Nods afterwards back to the officer."Klaus Wegner, i presume? Agent of the Marinenachtrichtendienst and former spy? " Said the man in a instructive tone. Wegner tried to regain his bearing and what was being asked from the unknown man. "Yes... that is correct."Concerned but still feeling shaken. "You probably dont know how you ended up here, or what happened since your rescue, but do you recall what happened in the Omega systems?" Queried the man, trying to get answers out of Wegner. Wegner tried to recollect his thoughts "You was attacked by a group of pirates, and left for dead by them. Your ship was damaged heavily in the incident and you was unconscious but still alive, just." "Right..."Unsure but feeling certain that was what happened. Wegner nodded in acknowledgement of what the man said. "And our scouts managed to rescue you from the incident, but we was unable to bring you back, you died in that incident effectively. Only by the gift of the Nomads, you was able to survive and live on. We saved you Herr Wegner"Wegner holds his head but remains curious and nervous. "I guess i am in your debt then" "You don't owe us anything but your revival, has some complications..." The man appears smug but truthful. Wegner starts to wince and listens carefully with enthusiasm. "What complications?" States Wegner "Since you died, we had to make you one of us, a Wild. But you probably do not know anything about us do you?" Queries the man. Wegner is unsure on how to answer "I'd like to know more if am staying here for a while, of course." Confidently speaking. The man appears suprised. "All will be made clear Herr Wegner, we value your time here, but you must understand if you want to leave, you will not be allowed to unless you accept to our terms. You see our operation here, cannot be comprimised." Wegner appears certain of what is being requested. "You are asking me to join your group then?" Curiously speaking. "I am not asking anything of you yet, but I feel you are the right person for us, we have been looking for someone of your talents for a while now. Your experience in the Rheinland Intelligence Service is... fascinating, lets say."Impressed by Wegner's own skills and those who have interests in him. "I would like know who you fight for?" Fearing the answer. "For the Nomads Herr Wegner, we are supporters of them for a while now, ever since the Nomad war." Curiously speaking "Did these Nomads save my life?" Querying the man and great interest. "Yes, you have something that lives inside you now, it will resist and take your life if you stray down actions considered hostile towards their plans. However if you follow and listen to it, you will survive and live on." Speaking with knowledge and experience "The Rheinlanders betrayed me, I sent out a distress call, I...I couldn't do anything about it." Feeling he let himself down "We do not doubt your skills here one bit Wegner, and we have known for a long long time now how corrupt and evil the Rheinland regime really is. We are here to bring Order to a chaotic nation." Wegner heard these words and saw they was true as the current state of Rheinland. Wegner appears calm at the presence now of this mysterious man. "What is it you need from me?" Fully alert and confidently speaking. "Straight to the point? I like it Herr Wegner, i am Karl Dorf of the Wild Network in Rheinland, and you can address me as the Komando of operations in this station. Your task will be to infiltrate a ship we have been seeking for a while now, kill the admiral onboard and steal this mighty warship for our gain. You will be in complete control, and you will be asked to turn any of those to followers but if they resist they have no place among your crew. This ship is top secret and cannot be compromised at any stage, your fellow captains will brief you on all the details for this assignment, your target is the Rheinland Tirpitz Halle."After a deep pause, Wegner was able to ponder."Very good, Sir."Both noded at each other. Both shaked hands . "I know you will not fail us Wegner, but your experience, methods and techniques are up to you from now on, use anything at your disposal to eliminate the admiral and turn any you can to your cause, our captains will show you how you can do this. Godspeed out there captain." Shuffles documents and papers on his desk as Wegner leaves the room calmly, allowing Wegner to formulate a plan and prepare for the inevitable outcome on the Halle. Halle Deployment- 826 AS _________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ In the heartland of Rheinland a shipyard with its hull panels glistening to the sun, the frequent commerce and order swept through the entire region. An admiral disembarks his ship ready to greet someone. Looking very formal and cheerful, the admiral would occasionally brush his uniform as a perfectionist and nothing but the best was very important to him. "Mein Herr, i am Klaus Wegner your Security attachment for this operation, as overseen by the Marinenachrichtendiest. We are here to inspect your ship and travel with you in accordance with our Intelligence duties" The Agent wanted to see the performance of the Halle for a while now, and this meeting was to fortify the relationships between both of them. The admiral looked with interest at the presence of the Agent and was happy to warmly welcome him to the ship in service. "Ah, so you are Herr Wegner, a pleasure to have you assisting us on this dangerous mission! We are delighted to have you join us on this voyage. After you agent..." They both walked towards the ship as it was ready to depart from the shipyard. Its size and firepower was shown in full effect as the sun shined against the majestic vessel. A sight to behold for most Rheinlanders especially the merchants. The final preparations was underway for its departure from the Daumann Installation "You will be happy to hear we have very capable pilots on our Tirpitz Battlecruiser a great addition to Rheinland since the war with Liberty. A show of force and power in this sector and protector of Rheinland!" As they both paused to look over it's magnificence. "Very impressive mein Herr, tell me how long have you been in service of this fine warship?" Impressed by it's handiwork and capabilities. "This was built 2 years ago, so it is still in perfect working order, of course tune ups are required time to time, but it has everything we ask from it and more."Sounding proud and happy to be serving the Rheinland Military. "That is great to hear, a ship of this excellence and power has to be in top form I assume?"Querying the admiral, whilst still gazing at the vessel."That it does, and we have the best crew for the task to carry out this maintenance and with the help of Daumann Heavy Industries""Our departure is ready, if you will follow me to the bridge at once."Showing the importance and urgency that they depart on time."Very well, lead on admiral"The ships panels folded up, the ducts detached from the station and chatter between station and warship was frequent. The ship fired up it's powerful engines and the crew attended their posts, the Halle was ready to deploy. As the warship prepared to depart from the station and begin it's manoeuvres, the ship turned to the stars and the systems beyond on it's journey. The Attack- 826 AS
_________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ With no warning from anywhere, the ship began to rock and take massive hits from all sides of the ship, the ship started to creak. "Red Alert, the Halle is underattack. Launch all squadrons, prepare the defenses" As a sudden alarm of panic and confusion, pilots and engineers all rushed to their stations in a desperate event of pure survivability. Their instincts, knowledge and experience proved them very capable in these situations, but this was no drill. "Admiral what....what.... is going on?" Gasping for breath after rushing through the crew quarters "We have been attacked by a rogue fleet of Rheinlanders, they are everywhere! They are using Rheinland ships and weaponry, we have no idea why!" Great confusion surrounded the Admiral, desperate to find an answer but also trying to save not only himself but his crew "Admiral, we need to talk in private, this mission has been compromised, we must recall the forward fleet if we are to survive this attack!" Knowing the situation they was in and in accordance with their procedures, the admiral did not hesistate. "You are right, soldiers, leave us!" Dismissing the troops with speed and confidence in his voice, but secretly hiding his fear of the coming battle. As the troops left the room, Klaus Wegner found some confidence and change of tone resonated through his voice. "Now is the time for our revenge" With pride in his voice. Wegner are... are you okay?" The admiral muttered, as Klaus oddly walked towards him. Smashing the communication console as he got closer to the admiral. Sparks flew in the air and his hand which was slightly cut gave him no concern at all. "Did you not think we would know about your plans, did you not think our time would come again?" Looking stern at the admiral. "This, this was your doing?"Questioning and looking puzzled at Klaus. "Very good admiral, i wondered how long it would take you to figure it out." "I want you off this bridge immediately!" Taking a slight pause Wegner, gathers his words. "I have been working my past life as a MND captain, who you left to die in the Omega systems. With all your failures and pathetic attempts of making Rheinland better and safer. The most displeasing thing about your rule as the 'rightful' Military admiral is your leadership of it. Your actions have cost many Rheinland lives, that i will not tolerate!" Clear now of Wegner's intentions, the admiral takes a step back, defenseless and powerless to resist. "Therefore acting immediatly, i am relieving you of your command of the Halle." A menacing look struck both of them from eachother. "Are you threatening me Wegner?" Another brief pause consumed the bridge. "There are far worse things out in space than what you believe. Their very nature, their fabrication and knowledge. Since we left are home, we have been lost, fighting wars still and learning nothing, until we met..... Them!" Stated the admiral "They will help us resolve the conflict, the failed economy, the lack of hope and order in Rheinland, they are not so much different than ourselves but far superior." Klaus slowly walked behind the admiral, as the admiral stood confidently but did not know who he was dealing with. "Who are you?" Snapped the admiral "Give Chancellor Neimann my regards!" Smug and happy of his intentions. As a blade struck from him pierced the Admiral. The admiral fell to the ground. Klaus shut down the shield systems and called in for a bombing run on the Halle but not to compromise the integrity of the ship. Klaus paced at speed towards the rest of the ship. With the last breaths of the admiral, curling over to see for one last time. Klaus turned towards him. "Oh and admiral, I do hope nothing bad happens to your crew" The admiral slumped to the ground. On Wegners departure from the bridge he acknowledged to everyone the ship had been compromised. None of them questioned an MND Agent issuing orders and many attended their stations as normal. Wegner informed that the admiral was killed in the attack. He returned to his quarters to prepare for the voyage that went ahead, staying in the comfort of his own space. The attack soon was halted and the ship was able to restore normal operations after extensive repairs in space. Life support and Engines was made operational once again but it took a while to get them up and running again, and cost them alot of time adrift in space. It wasnt long after that two sides of the ship was formed, one being the Wild infected forces and the other being the Rheinland Military. Occasionally they would skirmish through the decks of the ship where fear and death was the only company for those patrolling. Wild forces would occasionally get the better hand on the Rheinland Military, and the MIilitary suffered losses over time. The Wild with their experience in taking over enamy craft for their own benefit was legendary and even the well trained and battle hardened troops of the Rheinland Military could do little to halt their advance. It didnt take the Wild forces long to eliminate all of the Rheinland survivors, bringing peace aboard the vessel once again. Very few surrendered and those who did, pledged their support to the Wild forces. There was many casualties from the battle and after the battle, but a reliable and trusted team dedicated to Klaus was organised through this loss. Conclusion- 826 AS
_________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ Wegner stepped up to the bridge, breathed calmly, opened a personal log and began recording his words. This is Klaus Wegner's last transmission onboard the Halle "After a severe attack on the Halle and its crew, we have sustained heavy losses. Crew all dead, {Static}...last...survivor, food and oxygen levels {Static} incredibly fast, no hope of sending transmissions, dead in space.... (Static) Do not organise a rescue team. Fur Rheinland!" (Crackling) (Lost Transmission)" (Signing off...) He exalled and stepped out of the room, looking back for a moment, then walking down the corridors which was normally full of chat and banter between many of the crew. Now alot quieter and weird. Whilst most of the crew are happy under their new leadership, their intended destination and objective is still yet unknown to them, but Wegner knows what must be done. Although there are rumours the ship is still operating with unusual protocols in Rheinland... Klaus.Wegner - Marinenachtrichtendiest Agent - (Killed in Action) |
