Server not running - guzorc - 04-12-2021
Hi
So I've tried to run the server, all I get is a flash of something and its gone. I think I've installed all the files that were required and made sure that IPV6 is disabled but no joy. Had a go in single player to find that the saves disapear, and the game is really only for multi player. So as it stands, the game isn't much use to me at the moment. My main goal is to host LAN games with the kids. Any ideas?

Not sure but you I think there is in the Discovery flies an option to open a dedicated server.
Try to use it and maybe with Hamachi so they will be able to connect to the server itself
If it is not working I don't have any other ideas.

I'm using the exe for discovery freelance server, is there another way to open one? Also..... Hamachi?

Hamachi is an application that opens a Lan network between people.
For example I can open hamachi server and invite my friends from other parts of the world and because we sit on the same lan server we can open dedicate servers and play on it.
at least it how it used to be like in minecraft.
You need to open the flies and look for this I think

Yes you need to download that program if you want to play with someone he needs to download it as well and later on you create a Lan server and you send him your IP and password...
Fair warning do it only with people you trust.

Are you willing to share your discord ID (over PM if you prefer to do it privately)? I might be able to help you find some encounters, get your game sorted, and show you around the server a bit.

Oh, you want to set up a Lan server? I think that functionality isn't supported any longer. I believe it's still possible, though, using the methods stated above.

Oh well, thanks for the offer. I may just stick with the vanilla game thru LAN (I've stumbled into making it work), and I may just dabble in this one for myself.
