Greetings all,i choose to write this because my connection sux but discovery seems the most complex mod out there,and a lot of new things to discover.
I have 4.85 mod,and a few questions :
Can i mine in SP by the new rules?
Do licenses have a purpose in SP?
Can i get to fly nomad ships in SP without cheating?
that will be all for now,but stay tuned.
I want to make this thread dedicated for those who can`t play online like me.

You can do whatever you want in SP; cheating only applies to multiplayer. And ID's aren't your tractor beam, your scanner is. Technically you don't even need to have an ID to play SP.

Escuse me,
but you're wrong of course he does need an ID as it definitely replaces the tractorbeam, without an
ID he cannot tractor anything.
About mining, mine what and where ever you want, just be prepared to experience the one or other
ocassional crash to desktop as there still seems to be some problems with mining causing random crashs.

I may have gotten that confused, as I know you can't launch to space without a scanner but you can without an ID...it's been a while since I played SP hehe. Either way, you can just use the Civvie ID cuz it makes no difference to NPCs which faction you belong to.

Trading is the fastest way to make money (but takes a while to get started).
Search Dusty Lens Mining Guide on these forums - I'm too lazy to go find the link right now. It explains the best setups for miners.
Ship progression? Not exactly sure what you're asking, but I would check out the Discovery Wiki for a ship listing (just google it). It's outdated and most ships have been modified somewhat, but it's still useful for getting a feel for the ships.
