Constant whisper of countless drones can be heard, buzzing similar to this of a hive, similar in both sound, and function. In these depths, devoid of all organic life, a new type of life blossoms. Comprised of neither flesh nor bone, it waits calmly, its mind slithering through oceans of data. In complete darkness, as the machine does not require sight to perceive, Gammu thinks. With proccessive power so overwhelming, its research should be completed instantly, at least to the human eye. Yet, with the problem so sophisticated, its implications so grave, Main_Core invested a lot more time, its thoughts, as gargantuan whales swam silently through nodes, trying to reach conclusion. It lasted almost a minute. With the process completed, it produced a message. Comms on Planet Malta woke up, almost as alive. There were no signs of attack, and the head IT specialist stated that it looked like the system acted "on its own" which earned him dismay and pity of his colleagues.

On the screen, a round circle of light could be visible, its blue rays rotating in mesmerising patterns.

Greetings, Organics. - a deep male voice boomed through the Communication Center.

I hope this type of communication will suffice to you and arrives to your planet of presumed origin. Truth to be told, we did not expect a transmission from you so soon and sudden. We certainly have matters to discuss:

MHS will not engage in hostilities with Moebius and Ava nodes, unless we are provoked to do so. Our organization is fascinated in reaching better understanding with your kind. We are curious to know more about the Central Core you mentioned, and what are your goals and visions in the long run. As knowledge seekers, we would like to exchange information and resources, in hopes of betterment for both sides. Also, we encourage you to look further into our most valued substance: Cardamine. Many of our labors concentrate in its improvement, and a combined effort could prove invaluable. Cardamine is essentially a compound that modifies biological entities, but your insights could offer us a new perspective on how to manage its benefits and drawbacks.

Regarding “Open Borders”, this is a more complicated topic for us; let me enlighten you in this: Malta Hyperspace Starfleet can allow this, for further diplomatic and business discussions; the problem is that not all Outcasts would agree to that. We, the Maltese, take care of the safety of our home system seriously, and we do not appreciate that outsiders came without purpose near our Planet Malta. That being said, some of our kin would consider your visit “unnecessary” and they will ultimately charge their weapons. Outcast society and power has suffered radical changes after years of political disagreements, but in the end, the might of the Outcast fundamentally resides on the wealthiest of men and women: Dons and their families. As such, the Maltese cultural and judicial structure is divided, and policies vary depending on who is watching over you. So, getting to the point: MHS will have no problem with you if you want to visit Omicron Alpha, or even Planet Malta itself if the talks continue; we do tolerate particular traders to arrive into our home and we certainly would welcome your kind and even protect you if required. Unfortunately, we cannot respond for all Outcasts for now. Assuming that we accumulate more influence in our society, we would surely come with a favorable update of this, but our priority is science and technology; we intend to help our brethren, not make absolute control of them.

If you are still interested in a more profound diplomatic affair with the Outcasts as a whole, we can vouch for you; maybe a consensus can be reached, especially if you contribute with our people in a singular way.
