[Gameplay] - Cruiser NPCs in missions - Exterminator - 07-16-2021

Bug: NPC cruisers are ridiculously overpowered

Lots of armor, stupidly strong weapons combined with infinite powercore and the ability to go 200 m/s making it impossible to properly hit them.
We just tried a mission with two heavy battleships and surviving just two waves of cruisers is too difficult.
My shields don't hold for 5 seconds at 3k range and then my hull starts melting as if I have no CAU armor when I go close range.
Cruiser NPC fleets are WAY more powerful than Battlecruiser and Battleship fleets. Not fun at all!

Their difficulty is intentional. They're meant to be a group challenge. They may not pay a large enough amount for the effort required, but that remains to be seen.

I see what you were trying to do, but currently, facing BC and BS fleets is way easier than cruisers. Since those can at least be reliably hit. I think NPC cruisers currently inflict way too much DPS.
But, guess we will need to test it properly for a bit longer.

Anyway, it's a very interesting update with some fresh additions/changes.

I really like it with the "Titan" npc's, its a real challenge, not just some random caps with paper hull and no damage.
