Esteemed Government and all the Primary Fleets and Agencies. I am Fleet Admiral James Horatio Creed, and I would like to bring your attention to a situation involving an incident with a Corsair vessel within the Texas system. This vessel approached us from the Virginia Jump Gate and we proceeded to stop the vessel and interogate him as to why he was within the Texas system. After we had a lengthy conversation, we established some rather interesting accusations from this Corsair vessel, and we have included an encrypted file to this communication which is for the eyes of the recipients only. We would like to hear your views on these accusations once you have read the Classified and encrypted report that we have supplied to you. --Serving Liberty and ptrotecting it's Borders-- James Horatio Creed Fleet Admiral Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Important: This communication remains the property of the Liberty Navy 46th Fleet sender and is not to be passed on to anyone outside of this transmission. Liberty Navy, First Fleet Captain James Davis To the Head Command of the 46th Fleet,
After analyzing the classified document, the Liberty Navy First Fleet decided not to make further investigations. Corsairs shouldn't be trusted, and as your pilot Delta-13 says himself in his report, the Corsair showed sympathy to the Force that are openly hostile to Libertarian law enforcements. This only should have been enough for you not to even believe what this Corsair was possibly true. It looks more as if they tried to draw our forces around the Kusarian border, than actually paying attention to our foot in the Omicrons.
Their claims about Kusari trying to wage war against Liberty seem off. Our latest intelligence reports showed that Kusari had not the economic nor the military power required to enter a war against Liberty, and we strongly believe that the situation has not changed. Plus, investigating such a matter would create a massive diplomatic issue, if Kusari had the chance of hearing about it, and the First Fleet will not allow other public forces to deteriorate the cordial relationship between the two Houses. You mentionned different Kusarian incursions in Liberty. We have never heard about them, and if you have any data related to that, the First Fleet - and surely the Intelligence Agencies and the 5th Fleet - are interested in getting a hold on them. We would like to know what intelligence you have that we do not, so that we can coordinate our fleet movements. As far as the First Fleet is concerned, the next time your pilots encounter the Corsairs in Libertarian space, they are to be shot on sight, as they are listed as a criminal organization under the Liberty Laws Section 3. That will be all. RE: TO: Lib Government | cc : 5th,[LN],LIA,=LSF= - TheDoctorXI - 07-26-2021 Mission Debrief Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Security Clearance: Secure Sender Name: Rear Admiral, Lower Half Martin Kemp-Smith Recipients: James Davis, Captain - 1st Fleet, Liberty Navy || C.C: Liberty Government, 5th Fleet, [LIA] and =LSF= Captain Davis, May I firstly take this opportunity to say that it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I do believe we may have met once before, though it was short and brief due to an on-going engagement that you, then consequently, I was in some time ago. My name is Martin Kemp-Smith and I was piloting the ship designated "Delta-13" in the classified report that was sent by Fleet Admiral Creed. In your response, and I quote, you said: "Corsairs shouldn't be trusted, and as your pilot Delta-13 says himself in his report, the Corsair showed sympathy to the Force that are openly hostile to Libertarian law enforcements." I believe there may have been some confusion over what I've written in that report. What I stated in that report, was as follows: "Interestingly, they seem like they wanted us to find them and they shared some rather interesting intelligence regarding Kusarian Intelligence units - who, according to the Corsair, have been showing sympathy to the Core over their recent conflicts with Liberty Forces." This directly links Kusarian Intellience units as showing sympathy to the Core over their recent conflicts with Liberty Forces within the Omicron Nu system. Now, granted this intel came from a member of a criminal organisation, as you quite rightfully stated in your response. I am simply attempting to ensure we are doing our due diligence as Naval Officers of the Libertonian Republic, with her interests and safety at heart. Furthermore, you will be pleased to know that after several hours of scrubbing black-box recordings from a great number of vessels within the 46th Fleet, I have attached a copy for yourself and those carbon copied in to this communique. Interestingly, it seems there was an [LIA] agent present at the scene, at the time. Given that this evidence exists, I would urge First Fleet, 5th Fleet and Intelligence Agencies to reconsider the stance regarding this matter. As you say, to allow proper fleet coordination between all of Liberty's Forces. Regardless on current intelligence, which would suggest needs updating, leads me to confidently believe that Kusari are, indeed, quite capable of deploying a sizable fleet - and certainly capable of deploying intelligence units to further expand and better their own interests further afield. I've omitted communications between the vessels on the scene to tidy up the log. Though will happily share that the Kusarian Fleet deployed a Jump Drive to get all of their ships out of the Republic. I look forward to receiving a reponse, Captain. If it would be appropirate, I feel like a meeting, in person, between the respected High Commands of Liberty Forces may be a step in the right direction so we may discuss this further. In any case, I'd be interested in hearing your own thought on the matter - along with the rest of the recipients of this message. Respectfully submitted, Martin Kemp-Smith Rear Admiral, Lower Half Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Important: This communication remains the property of the Liberty Navy 46th Fleet and is a classified encryption for the eyes of 46th operatives only and is not to be passed on to anyone outside of the organisation. So, let me get this straight. You are asking us to trust the word of a known criminal? Have you any idea what the consequences would be if you were wrong? No? I'll give you a hint. Try open war with Kusari, with continued attacks from the Core. And let us not forget the in-House conflict with the insurgency. No. We won't trust the word of a criminal without concrete proof. And now you have the balls to send us logs, which by your own admission are doctored? There is no mention of what system this encounter with Kusari forces took place, if it even happened. You are treading on thin ice, Rear Admiral. Either show us undeniable proof of wrongdoing on Kusari's part, or stop wasting our time. That'll be all. You, Rear Admiral Luke Briggs and Captain James Davis have both shown great valor and respect to our units in battle and joint operations, side by side with us. I am sure you will not be surprised our fleet members hold your experience and stature in high regard and wished to consult you with what we have found before reaching any conclusions in this clearly complicated matter.
