To: Crayter Republic - Republica de Malta - 10-13-2021

Good evening,

It has been some time since contact was made between our two people. In case the Ministries have changed, I am Sabrina Iltzmann, Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the rather defunct Republic of Malta. While it will likely take some time for the government to agree on a stance, it has long been evident that the Republic's efforts to defeat the traitors of Malta, even with the help of Crayter and the IMG, has been rather fruitless. However, our limited successes at Lipari and Ferrol have reintroduced a topic of some contention, though discussions aboard the Barcelona are still taking place.

In the meantime, in has come to our attention that Crayter has been working to rebuild Carrier Hades, which we had the misfortune to watch groundside as she fell in battle. Our transports are still in operation, and there are likely some components that will be easier for the Republic to acquire with our wider range of contacts. Ms. La Huerta has asked that I forward an offer for the Republic's ships to begin shipments to proxy ports, as I'm sure the sight of Maltese ships docking with Sabah's orbital facilities would cause some discourse. Perhaps once the government has decided on our course of action, more substantial action can be taken.

I would hear your thoughts on this matter.

Farewell.

Ms. Iltzmann,

The Republic of Malta, though a small segment of the Outcast population has been a steadfast friend to Crayter, well-noted on several occasions, including during the Incursion of '44 (where the service men and women of our fleets were able to witness first hand the destruction your vessels wrought upon the marauding invaders). Your people are valued much and held in esteemed regard for the valiant, though colossal struggle you engage in. It is an immense feat to save so many people of Hispania from the depraved oligarchy of Malta and scratch a new destiny for them.

Your offer to assist in being apart of the Carrier Hades Rebuild Project is a generous one and one the Crayter Republic would invite your aid in.

The idea of using proxy warehousing facilities is a good one to prevent loose trigger fingers from causing an incident. Many Crayterians, and Tau people at large, are understandably quite maligned to the appearance of "Outcast" vessels. We should discuss these options in greater detail at your convenience.

In service to the Republic.

Ms. Ward,

This is good to hear. I will let Ms. La Huerta know that she can begin offering contracts to Republic shippers as soon as she is able. Due to its location, she has recommended Barrier Gate to be the drop-off point for supplies to fuel the reconstruction, as it should provide ample cover while remaining within range of Sabah's berths.

There is only the matter of outlining what, specifically, would need to be transported. I'm sure it's safe to assume that you have a manifest for the supplies needed, and given the traffic to Sabah in the last few months I would also assume that it is well underway. We would need access to such manifest, lest our people begin hauling supplies haphazardly, as well as a means to provide evidence of their arrival.

Also, as a separate topic to note, I would ask of Crayter's views on the Auxesians. In the past, they were a mark of inconsequentiality, but as of late their colors seem to have changed. A secondary viewpoint on this would be invaluable.

Thank you.

Farewell.

Minister Ward,

I am Horatio Esposita, Secretary of State for the Republic of Malta. Traditionally, I administer all aspects relating to government function and enforcement of the law outside of the Republic's realms in space. I also speak on behalf of the Presidency when they are unavailable.

With respect to Secretary Iltzmann's position in dealing with international relations, the Republic is at an impasse, and for all intents and purposes the Republic has been a client state of Crayter for many years now. As Ms. Iltzmann spoke of before, many talks were had aboard the Republic's capital as to our course of action regarding the reform of Malta's politics, and indeed even the need for action altogether. Though by tradition the Republic is the rightful successor to the Crimson Cross, it is clear that Malta has decided to deviate from tradition in favor of allowing anarchy to reign. None in the cabinet understand it, but that may itself be the point.

Regardless, I am contacting you today in place of Ms. Iltzmann to inform you that there is currently a vote in the Congregation Chamber aboard Barcelona as to our future course of action, and several representatives have already proposed the nationalization of the Republic into Crayter's federalized structure. While the vote does not currently favor this, many of the representatives have not yet cast their voice into the Chamber. Regardless, the President asked that I relay this to our friends in Crayter in the event that such a measure goes forward.
If anything pertinent happens, I will be sure to reach out once more. The vote is expected to end in two months time.

Also, Ms. Iltzmann does wish to convey her regret that Malta was not able to provide any assistance with your effort to provide supplies to rebuild Carrier Hades, though personally it is probably for the best.

Adiós, y buen día.

Minister Ward,

If your Ministry follows the Republic's Official News Service, you may be aware that an editorial was published some time ago describing, among other things, the Congregation's overwhelming vote to absolve the Republic's autonomy and formally apply for federalization with the Crayter Republic. While in practice this was largely the case, formally documenting this would need to occur, assuming Crayter would wish to honor the Congregation's vote.

Should Crayter choose to, the President has asked that I oversee the dissolution of autonomy, as well as the transition of the Armed Forces into your Military's documentation. Please let me know Crayter's stance on this, and perhaps even an outline of the process Malta would have to take. I will await your response.

Adiós, y buen día.

Greetings,

The Republica de Malta honors our Federation with this request and the Ministry has approved the integration of your assets into our nation. You military might will be given the distinctive honor (considering your esteemed and difficult path of defying your, ehm, questionable, kinsmen in favor of democracy, humanity, and altruism) by becoming the foundations of the 42nd Crayterian Fleet and will report to the Defense Ministry at Minato forthwith. Your officers will be given relative rankings, your soldiers afforded and treated exactly as Crayterian service people.

Your civilians will be afforded all the benefits, privileges, and documentation befitting citizens of the Republic and granted residency upon Yuma or Borneo, of their choice.

Thank you again and welcome.

In service to the Republic.

Minister Ward,

I'm pleased to hear that Crayter will honor the Congregation's vote, and that the process of integration is more than acceptable to the Republic. Many of our officers in the Armed Forces have adapted to Crayterian military doctrine over the years of cooperation, and I don't anticipate the Military will prove difficult to work with.

One matter outstanding is that of the Abaddon. While capable of military service, Abaddon has been flying as part of the Republic's Homeward Defense Department for some time now, essentially acting as the flagship for intelligence operations. Though this has not been much beyond the Taus, with the Republic's federalization, Ms. Cortez specifically has asked that Homeward Defense be organized within Crayter's intelligence service, Abaddon included. Please let me know if this is doable, or if the Crayter Military would make better use of the ship in a more combat-focused role.

In any event, I will inform the rest of the Congregation of this news, and prepare for each of the Republic's vessel's integration with Crayterian identification routines.

Adiós, y buen día.

Ms. Ward,

It's been some time since we've made contact on an official level. However, given the recent developments Crayter at-large has been involved in, we felt it was worth checking in with our friends on Yuma.

To begin, I was hoping to ask about concerning reports we've heard from our colonists on Borneo about a falling out between the Republic and the IMG. From Governor Moira-Benitez's account, our supply ships flying Crayterian colors have been turned away, and our captains have needed to travel much farther and much longer than they've been trained for just to procure supplies. The Republic once had strengthening ties to the Guild, to the point where we had assumed the past would finally be water under the bridge. I'm concerned with where that effort has since gone.

We've also been concerned with the recent events regarding Military action in Inverness. While Malta has been largely concerned with our people on Borneo, reports of engagements with Technocrat vessels have grown in recent weeks. Was the treaty ignored once more, or were there other reasons?

Finally, in connection to our first concern, we're aware the Military's Battlecruiser Momus has recently returned to the system. While it will help bolster the system's security, the concern has been growing of the openness of Tau-44 to Nationalist raids. Are there plans to redeploy units to Sulawesi to reinforce the local garrison sometime before the new year? The Armed Forces have toyed with the thought of relocating some assets from Sabah to Sulawesi, but have concerns regarding their readiness.

I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you.

Farewell.
