"Yashima"-class Tokugawa Status: Completed / Phase III No outside parties will be made aware of the plans or construction. Workers will sign an agreement that prevents them from revealing information about the warship to outsiders. Design Schematics for the A-200 Project
Primary design characteristics: The main reasoning behind the development of this project is the arrival of new classes of battleships onto the combat field, therefore reinforcing the need of further weapon tests to remain a dominant power on the modern battlefield. During the invasion of Gallia, the lack of long-range weaponry has proven fatal to our plans, making us rely on tactics of kamikaze attacks in the majority of large battles. The tested and succesful "Hammer and Anvil" tactics employed by the Hamamatsu and Matsumoto in Lorraine and Burgundy respectively have showed that in modern capital ship battles, artillery decides the winner. Project A-200 is aimed at the research and, in the future, production of armament that will fit the need of the Kusari Naval Forces for a weapon that is up-to-date in all engagements with hostile forces. The main focus is on the RA-20 "Taisho" batteries, which are designed from the previous models of the RA-20 "Gale" batteries. The "Taisho"-class artillery, however, requires additional testing before being made operational. Other important parts of the project are the larger crew cabins, new range finders and improved hangar bays for the snubcraft escorting the warship. The project also aims at producing a new class of Tokugawa warship that will mount the previously-mentioned armament, alongside a reinforced hull and emplying the latest technology available to the Naval Forces. Both the armament and the hull will be prototypes containing Azurite Gas, the key to Hybrid weaponry. This will be acquired through our contacts in The Core. If successful, Project A-200 will provide the Naval Forces the ability to launch larger offensive actions in capital ship warfare. The new doctrine of Decisive Battle, made after the war with Rheinland and with the arrival of the "Showa"-class Hamamatsu, will play well in our favor with such a design available. "Yashima"-class Tokugawa Status Update Phase I After the presentation of the project to the Admiral of the Naval Forces and its subsequent approval, Phase I is now in effect. Kusari corporation will be briefed shortly about the required goods. The Core will be contacted about the procurement of Azurite Gas for the prototypes. Further updates will be added after the completion of deliveries. Attachments: RE: Project A-200 - Darius - 11-22-2021 Kusari Naval Forces

"Yashima"-class Tokugawa Status Update Phase II As per the previous update and as according to the plans of the project, Samurai, Kishiro and the core have been contacted, each receiving a contract for the critical materials required for this project. With Phase I completed, the second stage of the project is put into effect from 23rd of November 828 A.S. Special convoys of the Naval Forces will be organized in the following days to transport the materials to Kure Shipyard. Upon completion, the assembly will commence, in conjunction with limited-scale weapon tests, organized at Nansei Research Complex by both Kusari Intelligence and Naval Forces' operatives. Estimated time until Phase II's conclusion is 1 month. Further updates upon the project will be made should the need arise and after the end of Phase II. "Yashima"-class Tokugawa Status Update Phase II With Phase II now in full effect, the prototypes of the RA-20 "Gale" batteries have been successfully assembled and mounted on the hull of the Yashima. The materials delivered from the contract have arrived at Kure Shipyard on 25th of November; the majority of the improved hull plating has been completed and mounted on the Yashima. The "Taisho"-class armament is, at the current time, undergoing research at Nansei. Estimated date of completion is 10th December 828 A.S. Due to the Naval Forces' need for reinforcements in the field, Phase III will be completed while in active service as part of one of the KNF Battlegroups. The crew of the warship has been trained and is awaiting further orders at the Hokkaido Naval Garrison District. Once Phase II has been completed, the crewmembers will be recalled and the Yashima put into active service upon approval by the Admiral. "Yashima"-class Tokugawa Status Update Phase III Phase II has been succesfully completed on 10/12/828 A.S, with small delays due to a required replacement of the armor plating at the bow of the warship. The "Taisho"-class prototype batteries have been fitted onto the hull Due to a delay in the project, Phase III is expected to begin on 15/12/828 A.S. The Admiral of the Naval Forces will be briefed about the state of the project; a request will be sent to the Hokkaido Naval Garrisson District for deployment into active service. The A-200 project is henceforth marked as completed; Phase III will be represent the baptism by fire for the warship. Long live our Emperor and the proud Navy. Attachments: |
