Madames et Messieurs,

This is most likely the first you've heard from me since I got promoted to the most prestigious role of Grand Admiral of the Gallic Navy Combined Fleet.

As you may have already heard, Bretonians have became lustful for vengeance, and are testing our outer defenses. Even now, our latest border installation: Fort de Bregancon located in Orkney is under siege by the Bretonians!

Even after being reprimanded by a passing Crayter vessel, they continued their vengeful onslaught. On top of that, they've been spotted utilizing a station recently handed over to the Bounty Hunters Guild. I know not if it's bribery, collusion, or straight up hostage situation, but allowing foreign warships to be serviced on our border is beyond any reason!

To add to their list of warcrimes, multiple of our navy transports got intercepted and destroyed in cold blood.

Our forces are engaging the enemy, but sadly we're outnumbered and outgunned, I call all available forces to arms to repel this unsolicited invasion and secure Gallia's borders. In case you need directions, Fort de Bregancon is located in orbit of Planet Sanday, next to Fort Albi.

Pour Gallia!

Salutations,

I am the Maréchal Louis De Viliers, of the Gallic Defense Authority. We have received your message loud and clear. We are also aware of the location of your modular base.

In view of the Bretonian incursion, and how strategic the Brittany system is - not to mention the presence of one of our shipyards nearby, we have decided to move the GNFS Normandie spearheading multiple capital-class vessels from Occitanie, with multiple wings of snubcrafts to aid in the defense of the Brittany system and our installations.

This should help.

À bientôt.

Mes hommages,

I received this "distress" call from you, Amiral Delacroix, but it is obvious that it is a matter directly concerning Louis. I do not question his remarkable abilities, he will make sure to repel this sightseeing excursion from the Bretonians.

These attacks are no surprise from our old Bretonian friends. Motivated by the desire of revenge, and of course, the nostalgia of the good old days of the Gallic War. One cannot live without the Gallic charm once they experienced it one day, that is why they are back.

However, I find worrisome that these Bretonian vessels managed to get so deep into our controlled space in Orkney. Let me assure you, the persons responsible for this failure will be found.

I don't feel the need to deploy additional reinforcements from Ile-De-France for the time being. Le Maréchal De Villiers will handle this matter himself.

Au revoir.

Grand Amiral Delacroix,

Maréchal de Lusignan of the Austrasie Subsector here. Our space is relatively safe now and our forces are on idle hence we dispatch one of the defense fleets from our domain of the Gallic state to Brittany - the Bretonians must learn once and for all that Gallia is not a host for their parasitic purposes, but a powerful state capable of wiping the smiles off their hypocritical faces and replacing them with the terror of our might.

Bonjour.

Bretagne is far removed from Bourgogne et Lorraine. That technically means this matter is not of my jurisdiction nor concern.

However, I have a rather vested personal interest in matters of border security and reminding Bretonia that the Gallic Nation brought them the closest they had ever gotten to capitulation. While there are the usual internal troublemakers to keep tabs on in Lotharingie and other subsectors, I can spare some time, squadrons, and torpedoes to settling any lingering grudges.

Salutations,

I have received reports that your modular base has reached an alarmingly low level of structural integrity. The GNFS Normandie by herself cannot hold off multiple Bretonian Fleets, and I have deemed it to be a lost cause. A war over a scrap of burning metal in the middle of essentially nowhere is not worth the cost of even a single passage at the drydock for this vessel.

The GNFS Normandie and her squadrons will depart the premises of the Fort de Brégançon, as soon as you finish evacuating your personnel and valuable equipment left - if needed, the GNFS Normandie can help with the evacuation.

Next time, try not to be the catalyst of what essentially could have been the casus belli of a new war on the scale of the entire sector, we have seen enough.

Until next time.
