Dawn of Good Men - UN]- The Unioners - 01-07-2022 >> Dawn of Good Men<< ![]() It’s a silent afternoon on planet Hamburg’s biggest settlement. The air is thick with fog and the sun has started to set. The sky is blackened by stormy clouds. Rain has just started falling and the city lights have started turning on. Everyone is getting home from their shifts at the high-end district. But little do they know that this seemingly normal day would forever be remembered in history logs all around Rheinland. As the last lights turned on and the tall buildings shined brightly above the black clouds, a loud bang reverberates from the outskirts of the district. Sirens echo through the streets and police vehicles are seen flying through the sky accompanied by paramedics. The residents looking up into the sky see a wall of smoke, and nervous chatter breaks out throughout the streets. Soon an even louder bang follows, accompanied by a few smaller ones. The sounds that appeared to be from an explosion grow ever closer, piles of black smoke rising into the stormy sky. Panic follows. A number of buildings were collapsing, and pieces of concrete and alloy fly across the sky, adding to the chaos. People run to their homes as quickly as they can, walking over one another, ducking for safety. The streets are wet from the rain that the storm has brought upon them. Lawyers, politicians, business owners, and other residents rush across the streets, slipping and falling on the wet pavement. But the storm is the least of their worries. Screams can be heard through the avenues of Hamburg and the cries of the residents are only a little bit louder than the heavy rain. Random explosions follow, the sky flashes with orange every now and then, the residents terrified by the situation. After some time the explosions stopped. “Is it over?” The question could be heard among the residents, with the sirens still echoing in the distance. The sound of the rain intensified over the speaking of the people. Residents looked around them, seeing corpses and demolished buildings around them. The remaining civilians, left on the streets, were devastated with horror and fear, seemingly surrendered to their destiny, standing still and waiting for something to happen. News broadcasters flooded the sky and the tragedy was finally over. |
