Log Entry #1: Liberty
Alright well, I'm pretty new to this whole "log" thing. Though when I was seeing that psychiatrist way back on Leeds, they recommended doing this to keep your mind straight so I figure this would be as good of a time as any to start considering the last couple of weeks that've gone by.

Liberty have been doing their normal routine of being A-Class jerks. Ironic that the name of the house is "Liberty" and not "Tyranny". Typical House Governments using the populace as fodder instead of leading them responsibly. Draws some shocking parallels to Bretonia and the other houses. As such, I've thrown-in my help behind shipping as much H-Fuel to their system as is possible. So far I've been able to skirt under the radar of the Navy and LSF but I know that isn't always a guarantee. They're paying premium credits for the fuel and I get to screw over a House all at once. That's a win/win in my book. In just two days I've been able to double the amount of credits Reggie left me using the transport vessel he left me.

All is going according to plan. By the time I reach my first billion credits I can start preparing to begin Phase 1. I may hold off until I've got a good four or five billion before I really start getting into full swing, just to ensure that I have a full enough nest egg to really see the first phase of my plan coming to fruition. But there's nothing saying I can't do some preliminary work done ahead of time just to make the lead in to Phase 1 go a little smoother.

Time to get some shut eye before I get back to work. Lots of H-Fuel to deliver. Hope it helps them throw off the yoke of oppression by the Liberty government.

Log Entry #2: Omicron
The amount of places that Reggie flew this damn thing honestly boggles the mind. There are places that I never even knew existed or we had any kind of access to. I've been shuttling H-Fuel through the Omicrons to Pennsylvania and I gotta say...some of those systems are terrifying. I've run into weird blue glowing ships or ships that only read as "Unknown" on IFF...and all of them are hyper aggressive. No warnings, no acknowledgements, just weapons fire. Their weapons absolutely shred my ships shields and armor too. On more than one account I've barely made it out with my hide intact.

What the hell are these things out here? I'd heard rumors that things existed in the Omicrons that weren't human but...were they actually true?

Anyway, the combat the ship has seen over the last several days and the lack of regular maintenance performed on the ship (thanks Reggie) have left the ship down for a retrofit. Looking to increase cargo space too if possible. Down for a few days during that time. Cost me 70 million of my hard earned cash but that's fine, I've got the scratch to spare. I've managed to get up to about 500 million credits, so this won't slow me down too much...and more cargo space will just open the door to making money even faster.

All's going according to plan...sort of.

Log Entry #3: Traveller
I'm up over half a billion credits now and closing in on the first billion. It's been hard work making that much but I'm getting there...slowly. The plan is becoming clearer as I make more credits. Ideally I can move forward with the first phase of my plan once I reach two billion. However, that doesn't include MAY RGKKGHYK, MPJJYMK, IJRFJ, TYIBFDK KXKMYRK, IDE I QIJGYMX FO FMAYJ MAGDUK G DYYE.. So in light of that, I may need to save up to five or even ten billion credits to make it really viable. Plus I need the NPRB SFFJEGDIMYK too. I may need to speak to The Starfliers about contracting them for that.

Speaking of Starfliers, I ran a short contract with them resupplying their base with essential goods. Food, Oxygen, etc. Made some decent money for the contract and moved on. Taking a load off in Sigma-19 tonight. We'll pick up where we left off tomorrow. The Pennsylvania system isn't accepting H-Fuel anymore, so it's back to the normal rotation for now. Perhaps I'll see about finding a new trade route to do to break up the monotony a little bit.

Also, I got some information about information gathering. Turns out it sells for decent across Sirius to the right people. Can make a good amount of credits fast if I'm lucky. Would net me a nice 1.5 billion credits each time...but it's not a certainty. So it's probably smarter that I continue my current objective. Slow and steady wins the race after all.

Let's see where tomorrow takes me.

Log Entry #4: Stalled
For ten years I was a combat pilot. I flew sorties behind the stick of a fighter. I was never used to doing trading routes in a transport or train. This kind of life just isn't my speed. As such, I sort of stalled out concerning my efforts to trade this evening. I managed to make around 60 million credits, not a bad haul, but compared to the other days in which I did 100 million plus, this was a complete bust.

I'm back on Erie. I think I'll take a short break, get a few drinks, blow off some steam and head to the rack. I've got a pending contract with SFJKIGJK GD FRGSJFD UIRRI. Hoping it comes through. Might mean a huge burst of credits to my account. I'm nearing my first break point in my bank, if I can make it past this, I'm confident I can move into the second phase of my plan.

Here's hoping, anyway. I'm gonna go get me a drink. Don't wait up.

Log Entry #5: Exploring leads to profit
So I managed to make up for that lack of income the other day.

I delivered some cargo to a base for the SFJKIGJK GD FRGSJFD UIRRI and one of the pilots there recommended that I haul some other cargo back into Sirius. These things called VYDF JYHGSK. Now I don't know much about anything happening in the Omicrons, but as I said previously there's some weird crap going on out here. With unknown ships attacking me, weird blue glowy things swarming my ship, and a variety of other things...but when we arrived in [ENCRYPTION FAILED. DELETING INFORMATION.] and flew to a AGUA IMRFKBAYJGS LIKY TAYJY MAYKY JYHGSK TYJY KFHE, I was much more appreciative of the secrets out in these systems. Needless to say, took my normal route with the H-Fuel back into HGLYJMX and sold them for a tidy profit. I feel much better about doing this than SIJEIRGDY as at least research from this may yield some advancements in tech.

Anyway, heading out more runs. Got good rest last night with contentment at the amount of credits I made. Back to the grind. These JYHGSK aren't gonna move themselves.

Log Entry #6: Where to even begin
I have not slept...for well over 30 hours now...where to even begin.

Started my day normally after recording the previous log. Shuttling JYHGSK back and forth. Dodging Wild, Nomads, and any other variety of pissed off aliens in between there and my destination...then I had a jumphole malfunction, glitch out, or whatever scientific lingo and hurtle me into an uncharted system. Might have had something to do with taking fire from some Nomads before I jumped.

So anyway, here I am, thousands of lightyears away from anyone, stranded in a transport vessel with nothing but these JYHGSK to keep me company. I highly doubt their edible. So I fly around for a few hours, searching in vain for another jumphole, or shortcut back into Sirius. I was about to give up when the transport stopped so suddenly I was thrown out of my pilots chair.

By this point, you could understand my rage. Today was one of those days where nothing was going right and I was probably going to starve out here in the far reaches of space. I was in full rant mode, screaming about the injustices of space travel when I look out the window of my cockpit. What I see puts all that ranting to rest and shuts me right up.

I've crashed into what appears to be a massive abandoned ship. Easily dwarfing my little transport train. Luckily, I wasn't going at cruise at the time or it probably would have turned me into floating bits of stardust.

So...that puts us to now. I've just put on the dinky little Vac suit that comes standard with these vessels--making a mental note here to purchase some far better and upgraded versions--and am at present patrolling around the vessel looking for an entrance of some kind. A docking port or something

Hmmm, the scanners just alerted me to something. Going to be putting down the log for now. Will update when I've got more to update about...until then...

Log Entry #7: Distance
Well then. It's been a while since my last update. I don't even know where to begin so let's just start where I left off.

I found a Nephilim Colony Ship abandoned in the deep reaches of space. Long story short, I used the Albus Lepus power core to slave it to the ship and gave it enough power to allow it to jump. The coils were all out of alignment, I nearly died, barely got the ship back to Gran Canaria in Omega-48, got it repaired after about 800 million credits of what I saved during trading on the Albus, found out my father was a Zoner and the captain of the ship I found, re-discovered my family living on Gran Canaria, found out that Reggie was my grandfather, formed a Zoner Defense Force (which many other Zoners oddly don't really seem too on board for even though it's free patrols and escorts)...and that's where I'm at now.

Doesn't really take that long once I condense it down to the brass tacks.

Sigh

Even still, I'm starting to wonder if founding a defense force was even the right idea in the first place. Seems a lot of the other Zoner populace is against me. Maybe I should find myself an advisor for the ZDF. Someone to help me navigate the pitfalls of the Zoner "nation". Perhaps I'll put out a notice that I'm looking for someone. I'm bound to find someone with experience.

Right?

Anyway, back to work. I'm currently in the market for a new trading vessel, turns out slaving a power core to a giant battleship isn't good for your ship. Pretty much fried every system on the Albus[/b]. Sold the ship for scrap. Kept a few mementos from the ship but otherwise got about 30 million for the metal on the ship and moved on.

I'll update when I have something more to update. Until then.

Log Entry #8: Katakiuchi

Shit has changed. They pushed me too hard. I thought I'd finally found a place where I could effect real change in Sirius but the Houses showed me that the only thing that those pricks will understand is agression and power. So fine, we'll show them power. No more nice Zoner. I expect other Zoners will start to believe what I do eventually, all it will take is time. We have some plans to reach out to those who might be sick of the Houses shit and want to make a difference, but we're holding off for the time being and observing. We don't want to show our cards too early and risk word getting out.

For the first time since leaving the Navy, I have someone else who believes in the same things I do. Kasumi has had it with all of the Governments of Sirius and has gone into planning things with a fever pitch. She's been making more money flying her Destroyer than I have heading out and running supply trips to other Zoner stations in the Whale. She's changed. When I first met her she was full of life. Now all I see in her eyes is wrath, rage, and destruction. She's even begun training in weapons and hand-to-hand combat with the Core and Order that are often seen passing through the station. I would be remiss if I didn't say I was concerned about her well being, but if anyone understands her rage, it's me. I've just had more time to adjust to it and learned to live with it without it consuming me. Hopefully, she'll learn to live with it as I have so that she doesn't make any rash decisions. We can't afford to make any until we're ready.

We've also gained a Carrier for our cause but the problem is manning. Before the ZDF fell apart we'd commissioned a Carrier to be built in Omicron Kappa. It was just finished after the ZDF went away so we've got another capital ship in the far reaches of space that we can utilize. I've requested to the administration at Livadia Shipyards to allow the ship to remain there moored nearby until we get more people that might be willing to join up with us.

To be honest, I'm not sure if we'd even be called Zoners anymore with what we have planned. The Zoners at large are too docile and allow the Houses to trample over us. I've heard of the horrors of Gran Canaria. I didn't see them first hand, but I've seen enough recordings and photos of those years to have as much fury in my chest as any of those who were there. They abuse us, break our laws, and walk all over us because we're just "Zoners". Well, maybe if we punch these fucking bullies in the face a few dozen times, they'll think twice about screwing with us.

That's it for the logs today. I have more routes to run and not enough time to run them. Time is money, after all.

Log Entry #9: True Threat

It seems these days I'm nothing but wrong about my beliefs and what is happening around me. At least I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong and own up to my mistakes.

Since coming out here to Delta to begin my "plan", I've come to a disturbing realization about the universe at large. We are not safe and we are not as protected as we think we are. There are things out here in Omicron Delta that would make your fucking skin crawl. I've shot down ships that read as "Unknown". They don't speak or communicate with you, they just open fire and all attempts at communication are met with deafening silence. The ships they fly are odd, almost as if the very hull is alive. There are strange aliens out here too. I'd heard rumors about them but never saw them in person before. Their ships have this strange almost ethereal beauty to them, but just as the colors they pulse with are breathtakingly beautiful, they are just as dangerous to the health and wellbeing of your crews and will not think twice about attacking and destroying you. They are hostile to humanity--possibly our greatest enemy. I, for one, won't let them have their way by letting them get their hooks into humanity. I won't let them end us.

It puts things into perspective concerning my complaints and my tribulations. Sure, the House systems and their governments are still bastards but what good would revenge do if we're all dead at the hands of aliens that want to see us eradicated and our homes taken? The entire point is moot.

I plan on asking for a commission from the Order in the coming days. The hope is they will let me keep the Cheshire and allow me to bring it into their ranks as an Order vessel so that I don't have to leave it behind. If they don't, then I may just remain as I am and continue my protection as an independent Zoner. The small crew that joined from Freeport 11 are of the same mind. Many have considered joining with the Order before ever volunteering to come onboard. We even have a few Order representatives present onboard every so often aiding us in our fight against the aliens. They are a welcome sight, and their help is always appreciated.

My other concern is Kasumi. I still haven't figured out a way to explain to her what I'm planning. She's been abandoned by people her whole life. She's always found a cause and watched as it fell apart in front of her eyes so many times I don't know what her reaction will be to my giving up on this revenge. I would try to reassure her, tell her that vengeance will consume you if you let it but I don't think I would get through to her. My wife's death years ago had caused the same anguish that I see in her now but I learned to live with it; to deal with it; to not let it consume me. Hell, I still don't know for sure if I've overcome those feelings, but I know that protecting humanity will help me get that much closer to accepting it. If Jasmine could see me now, would she be proud of me? Or ashamed? I can't dwell on those thoughts, they'll just make things worse.

We have another sortie here soon. More Nomads to eliminate. There seem to be no end to them. That's another concern all on it's own but every one of those things that I kill, is one less one that can help enact their plans. I'll write more later if I have the chance--if we don't get blown up by something bigger and badder that is...it's always possible out here.

Log Entry #10: Further Investigations

Tonight was a very interesting night.

We were busy running sorties against Nomads when one of them took us into another system. After the jump, we found ourselves in a large minefield. It frightened many of the crew but we were able to find the exit easily enough. After we made it out, we ran into some Order Overwatch representatives hovering around a base nearby discussing the Nomads, Wild, etc. During our discussions, we saw something called an "Auxo" on scanners. The Order seemed to be ready to attack them but they cloaked away. They are something we need to ask more about--possibly something as bad as the Nomads? We're not quite sure. Following that, a Nomad battleship jumped into the system. We gave chase into Omicron Zeta before it slipped away from us. We returned to Mu shortly thereafter to continue our discussions.

After a while, one of the reps mentioned a planet in a distant star system that seemed interesting. We all flew there to investigate. After flying through a very powerful and unknown minefield, we arrived at a planet that was completely foreign to any I'd ever seen. Ruins sprawled out across the entire planets equator. It was a sight to behold. Before long the AI in the area began to become irritated at our invasive presence so we decided to depart for a nearby Order base. After repairs, another Order representative joined us. They weren't making much sense and appeared to be speaking in tongues talking about things that've happened, haven't happened, or will happen. I attempted to make heads or tails of the conversation but the other Order ships in the vicinity couldn't understand anything that was being said either. We departed shortly after as we did not want to be involved in any Order discussions that we weren't quite cleared for. OPSEC and all that.

We returned to Delta after a short flight and continued on a few more sorties before docking for repairs and restock. We will continue our less-than-silent vigil over Omicron Delta soon. There is an ever present number of Nomads, and they need to be culled.
