After a long yet comfortable bathyspheric journey accompanied by one of Marseille's finest wine, from one of the main platform dotting the lucious planet, you arrive in front an Art Déco building, protected by an underwater dome. It towers over the usual citizens' habitations and other regular and irregular ways of living. Impressed by how marvelous the engineering and the workers' ingéniosité, you pause for a second, examining the aspect of the building and all that surrounds it - then you recall the reason you came here in the first place.
Four armed Corsican guards the sealed door to this section of this underwater city. Initially scared, they greet you in Corsican, and ask for your reason of coming to the D.A.C.. You explain them laconically why, and they let you go. The metallic sas grinds as it opens, leaving you the way to an underwater tunnel, leaving you in the midst of the famous Marseillaise fauna - numerous fish, squids and other creatures navigates around the tunnel, unsuspecting - or unknowing, of your prescence, yet, you are ablast of their beauty, untouched by Mankind. You are greeted by a document describing the D.A.C. in detail... The D.A.C., and its purposes ¤¤¤¤¤With the rebirth of the "underwater nation" on Planet Marseille, under the aegis of the Unione Corse, and the enormous funds dedicated to its ever-increasing population - we Corsicans enjoys the two best sides of Gallia; the security, enforced by both our Gallic benefactors, and the Unione Corse, fighting for the well-being of its citizens, themselves being citizens, and the freedom of "doing what you want, where you want". However, this machinery supplying the citizens with technology, food, weapons, etc. needs to be oiled, and sometimes not by Gallic companies. The D.A.C. also serves as the front company for Unione Corse for the acquisition of goods that becomes illicit, such as ammunitions, ships and weaponry. The D.A.C. also has the goal of enhancing the underwater citizenry by giving them a legal, and recognized way of doing commerce, and employing citizens. ¤¤¤¤¤The D.A.C. also invests in endeavours by Corsicans citizens, and funds and equips them with the right tools in hopes to enhance its competitiveness on Planet Marseille, the system Provence, and even beyond. Illiciltly, it also funds the Brigands makeshift shipyards building ships for the Unione Corse and Freelancers looking for reliable yet capable of hauling goods throughout Sirius, which became a trademark of Freelancer trying to make a name for themselves, the l'Ane. ¤¤¤¤¤The D.A.C. specializes in the acquisition of goods from Gallic corporations such as building materials suited for underwater expansion programs or maintenance, but also maintains the economic, transports and communication links between l'au-dessus, et l'en-dessous - between the underwater cities, and the cities on the coasts of the islands on the surface. D.A.C. Modular Bases Management ¤¤¤¤¤The DAC manages Provence's Modular Bases. As codified by the Code of Provence, Modular Installations does not require payment to be deployed or maintained, and requires them to be in neutral or friendly terms with the Unione Corse and thus, the Government of Provence, and have the permission to dock at all times, and to respect the laws of the Gallic Union and the Government of Provence. Current ongoing trade agreements with the DAC ¤¤¤¤¤The DAC also is to manage the future trade agreements with other Houses and organizations. It requires them to be neutral or in good terms with the Unione Corse, and thus, the Government of Provence. The trade agreements will be listed here. They do not take into account defense agreements, which are to be discussed directly with the Unione Corse. |
