I have distressing news to report. This is the recording from a black box recovered from one of our disabled bombers in Vespucci:


We are close to pushing on Veracruz, the First Armada is rushing in the vanguard of the offensive, but facing a terror of this magnitude, an X factor our intelligence reports and strategic analyses have not taken into account could thwart our final push on the Insurgency.

This was not the only Alien incident recently - we are in possession of concrete evidence of Alien presence in another system, one left behind by a destroyed creature.

We are awaiting instructions and are open to requests for evidence of these occurrences, and coordination of further steps.
