Greetings, Auxo.
Been a while since we've last had a chat. Today's message refers to our installation within Kepler. If you weren't already aware, I'll catch you up to speed on what the last handful of months has been for us.
Living in Kepler over the last half year has been a little rough. Most of our crew suffered from minor radiation poisoning with a few of us getting a worse degree of it. We asked around and managed to get assistance from Cryer and the medics at MFE. After a little while, we got all of our crew booked in for checkups and managed to get all of our team cured.
It was at this time we were looking into moving our base out of Kepler. Now, given the physical size of it, the logistics was already pretty high in terms of moving it even a little bit. We found a suitable position within Tau-29, only a handful of systems away, however after taking a deeper look at what we'd need moved, it was not something we could pull off, even with help.
So that leads to the main topic of this message. We have evacuated Starflier Base and enabled the clean slate protocol. Currently, we are halfway through moving all essential equipment to our Bustard. One we're done, the station is essentially going to be ready for someone else.
We simply cannot keep working out of Kepler. If you find new ships coming in and out of Starflier Base, there's a good chance a new team have taken ownership.
Just a heads up.
As always, Godspeed

What a terrible shame. But we expected as much, we did warn you about Kepler becoming more dangerous. I can't say that the new owners will be happy to realise their investment, haha.
We're curious, how come you didn't relocate the facility? Did you come across some problems? Whatever the case may be, you're more than welcome to seek refuge in the Inverness sector.

I don't believe we have met, hello.
The new owners of Starflier Base will be in for a surprise with Kepler. My time there has been eventful enough. Glad I'm out. The relocation wasn't able to move forward due to two main factors, both of which we couldn't organise.
The first was a method of transport. We were thinking of gathering as much Rift-Data as possible of Tau-29 to Rift-Jump our station there, using multiple capital-class vessels equipped with Class IV devices tied together in unison. Then I realised how dangerous that could be. Imagine that going wrong, because I don't want to. We've heard of a Barge that Orbital Spa & Cruise has been seen using... but again, probably not ideal to even use that thing.
The station itself and it's disassembly to fit into transports was the second issue. It would have been easy if the station was much smaller. Each module wouldn't have too many links between them and the core structure. However, with the size of Starflier Base, all it's wings and modules has soo many knots between that it might as well be completely deconstructed. That's at least how one of my engineers described it to me. If that makes sense to you. Reconstructing it after a full teardown would be a nightmare.
All in all, the stars did not align for the Starfliers, so we were forced to make a mass exodus. We'll reside in the Taus for now until we figure out what to do next. Maybe we'll stop by Inverness soon as you guys are close by.
As always, Godspeed

Unfortunate. We've overheard some troubles regarding such moves from our personnel that returned home. I wouldn't have guessed you would have been able to shove an entire station into the back of a liner, hah.
You are always welcome in Inverness, and if there is trouble in the Taus, do not fret to call us. We will see what we can do to support you.
