Greetings to some of my favorite traders around. This is Doctor Sailas Montgomery with the Starlight Research Consortium, otherwise known as SLRC. At the moment, we have you under contract for restocking one of our bases in Kepler while we are away on a research mission far outside of Sirius space. Alternatively, we're in the process of restoring a station in Tau-23 known (for now) as Ikarus Storage Facility 03, which will soon be known as "Ikarus Station"...if we're able to reconfigure the stations comm. systems correctly that is.

Anyway, at present we're utilizing this station as a means to research the Baxter Anomalies in system and are regularly running out of Anomaly Batteries which we must refill once a day from a variety of places. As you can imagine, this cuts into valuable research time. We're reaching out to your organization to see if you would be willing to go into a contract with SLRC to be the provider of these batteries on a semi-weekly basis.

Naturally, we know the size of these batteries are not to be underestimated and know that it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to move them more than two systems from where they are often times sold. With this in mind, we would be willing to pay you a sum of agreed upon credits monthly for this service.

We can work out the specifics such as how much to pay your company per month as well as the amount of units to be delivered weekly in the following communications. Thank you for your time in reading this communication and we look forward to your response!

Ever upwards, towards starlight!

Bonjour Dr. Sailas Montgomery,

We appreciate the reaching out to us to allow our Interspace Commerce corporation to come to the aid of your enterprise and its scientific research.

The constant supply of batteries to your base could probably be fairly constantly supplied by our base in Gallia in the neighbouring Languedoc system.
However, it would probably be easier to just supply on the per unit basis rather than the monthly unless you have a specific amount you want delivered.

For the per unit cost, we propose the following dock prices for Ikarus Station:
$70,000 / credits per battery supplied.

If this pricing is satisfactory for your efforts and budget, please advise your docking staff of the arrangement and let us know that shipments can begin!

Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to help out.

Bonjour はやし,

Thank you for your transmission concerning the anomaly batteries aboard Ikarus Station.

Your cost of 70,000SC per unit seems a bit high. While we are using valuable research time restocking our station with these batteries, we do not want to trade that time for the finances that allow us to actually do those projects. At the cost of 70,000SC per unit, that would put each restock at approximately 10.500,000SC which is a a markup of 9.000.000SC from the standard. Per restock. While we don't mind paying you and your people for their work, this markup is a bit extreme from our point of view.

Perhaps we can work together to negotiate a lower price? At present our price is 10,000SC, which I feel is a bit too low for the effort you and your team will put in. I would be willing to set the amount at 30,000SC per unit, which would give you and your team approximately 4.500.000SC per restock which is an increase of 3.000.000 from base line.

Concerning the amount on the station, I'd like it to be set at 1.500 units per month if feasible. Let me know if this works for you.

Ever upwards, towards starlight!

Bonjour Dr. Sailas Montgomery,

Of course we are open to negotiation! It is trade and the best deals make both side content with the results. The higher price was more to bring your task to our priority level of service, but the deliveries will flow either way. I'm sure many view the value of Scientific Data on the open market the same way when they don't see the processes behind the effort - it is all a matter of perspective.

All Worlds Enterprises & Securities would be satisfied to accept the dock price of 30,000 credits per battery delivered by our fleet or associated subcontractors we contact. We will make every effort to keep your levels at 1500 units, provided we have inventory access to check or you simply advise use using this channel when stock supplies deep below a certain threshold.

I'm glad we are able to accommodate your scientific endeavours! Please be sure to let us know if other avenues of support come up for which we can provide addition aid!

Bonjour はやし,

These terms are acceptable and prices have been configured onboard the station. We would like to move forward with this contract as soon as possible. Any further updates we will transmit through this channel. We encourage you to do the same if anything goes awry.

Bonjour はやし,

It appears we are out of batteries at Ikarus Station. We will need these restocked ASAP. We can restock in the meantime.

Additionally, we had a contract to have our base in Kepler restocked during our time away on a research mission far beyond the rim of Sirius space. We arrived to find 120 of our crew expired from starvation, and the station beginning to come apart due to a lack of structural upkeep from a lack of materials.

As a result, we have had to pay out insurance premiums and life insurance to those families of the deceased which has harmed not only our bottom line, but our reputation as well. We are very disappointed in the current value of services that are being rendered to our locations. We have presently lost 120 crew to this carelessness. We hope that this is not going to be a pattern in the future. If so, we may need to seek out other parties to sufficiently restock our stations as needed. We will be taking care of Outpost Ozymandias now that we have returned from our deep space research mission, so you no longer need to concern yourself with restocking this location.

See attached proof of Ikarus Station lacking supplies and we will wait for your response.

Bonjour Dr. Sailas Montgomery,

My condolences on the loss of crew. Given the harsh conditions of the Kepler system, I would have hoped before things got that grim, they would have used some sort of escape skiff to reach the Freeport for aid. Maybe such systems might be part of the future planning for emergency situations given how hostile the system's environment is.

On our end, I will look into what happened to the frequency of shipments. Unfortunately your base is well off the trade routes and many captains often choose more profitable runs before taking on these contract commitments. The life-expectancy reducing exposure that travel in the Kepler system gifts supply crews usually involves larger incentives so they ignore the health cost.

We will work on continuing supply to Ikarus Station with the batteries you require. I imagine that they get used at almost a faster rate than we could supply them in the same period of time. I should remind you that you choose the budget pricing for our delivery service. Given the recent delivery ship shortages throughout Sirius we've found increasing rates on supply often brings in Freelancer-types that have no problems helping out with our contracts if they are lucrative enough.

Just information for consideration when pondering tasking out supply to other parties with the intention of more reliable service - there's shortages all around. Of course, it is your prerogative to do so, if the situation warrants it.

Bonjour はやし,

It has been some time since we have received a restock of Anomaly Batteries at Ikarus Station. We have been supplying them ourselves recently. Any chance we could revisit our contract with you concerning resupplies?

We will await your return communication.

Bon Jour Dr. Sailas Montgomery,

Your message came in a little garbled, but as we spoke before on this matter, I'll address it again with that assumption that you'd rather deal with someone already knowledgeable on the supply arrangement with your base, Ikarus Station in Tau-23.

I'll make a renewed effort to direct more supply ships through your system so we can deliver as much as possible. I'm told we were able to make at least one delivery before my response to you today

In the meantime, I can also point out that our newer base in Tau-31, Convergence Trade Centre, has been receiving some supply as well from traders in the area - they have a healthy stock of batteries for sale at a much closer venue than you'd likely have to visit going to the nearest research center. I'll let their administrator, Allen Hayes, know of your need, and perhaps he can assist with vessels from Crayter's locale to your base.

Au revoir, à la prochaine,

Bonjour はやし,

Apologies for the garbled transmission, the Baxter Anomalies sometimes interfere with transmissions.

Concerning your previous message, with Tau-31 being so close, we can navigate there utilizing one of our Light Fighters to haul the batteries to the station. Their convenient size makes it easy to store them on smaller vessels as well. This will make the trip fetching the batteries a bit easier for you and yours at your trade center in Tau-31.

If this is acceptable, let us know.
