Humanity Hope Staff - Humanity Hope - 09-27-2022 Name: Jonas Davis-Young PhD (Dermatology and Surgery) Rank: Archbishop Age: Unknown Occupation(s): Head of Dermatology research Head of Departement of surgery Keeper of the faith Alma mater: Unknow (possibly Cambridge university) Nature: Curmudgeon A Curmudgeon is bitter and cynical, finding flaws in everything and seeing little humor in life. He is often fatalistic or pessimistic, and has very little esteem for others. To the Curmudgeon, the glass is never more than half-full, though it may be damn near empty when other people are involved. Many Internet junkies, pop-culture fans, and Generation Xers are Curmudgeons. Demeanor: Enigma Your actions are bizarre, puzzling, and inexplicable to everyone except yourself. Your strangeness may be a residual effect from genetic engineering, or the most effective way for you to carry out your work. To the rest of the world, however, your erratic actions suggest that you’re eccentric if not completely crazy. Conspiracy theorists, deep-cover agents, and religious fanatics all live up to the Enigma Archetype History Young isn't exactly what he claims to be. He was the first successful attempt from the Hope at creating a genetically engineered human. He recently discovered that the three other members of the conclave are also products of a project called Genesis. Being told at an early age that his parents had abandoned him, Jonas followed the religious way that was being offered to him by Cardinal McTavish. At a young age, his interest for science was undeniable. He was, in secret, performing vivisections and dissections of small animals. This led him to feel so much shame that he started (and still does today) punish himself with self inflicted wounds. He was often given corrections by McTavish due to his sarcastic answers and his lack of respect for the other members. He often considered them as being inferior to him. Today, he tries to hide his bad demeanors by having a less than funny sense of humor. While still a teen, Young along with some others, was enrolled into Cambridge university. His above intellect and the ease he showed at learning led him to become one of the youngest persons to obtain two PhDs. After his studies he moved back to Leeds where, under McTavish teaching, continued his religious studies and put his talents in use in the Hope secret laboratories. He was one of the most faithful McTavish's followers. From Leeds exile to Vespucci sacrifice, he has always been pictured as the Cardinal's pet. Since the Hope settled in Inverness, his eccentric behaviors are more apparent and his leadership questionned.
