Broadcast 8: Bretonia To Lead NATO Exercises

NEW LONDON - As Liberty prepares to put an end to the Insurgency, our Great House stands ever-vigilant and in anticipation of any move from the former ally. In what has been classified as a 'peace effort' by other broadcasting agencies, NATO will hold a series of operations in the Coronado system as a direct measure to bring Bretonia, Liberty and Crayter closer together. Whilst officials have been quick to claim different matters, what holds true is that Bretonia will stand above the others. Our Armed Forces will spearhead the opeartions, in a noble effort to solve the diplomatic rift that has formed between the Republic and the Kingdom with the use of military force. This is a change in policy that benefits not only the two states, but also the alliance -- for officials have stated several times that NATO will remain a bastion for freedom in the Independent Worlds. Nonetheless, Bretonia must not succumb to foreign influence. While it is important to remain involved in such alliances, the Crown must not allow Liberty ever again to corrupt what we stand for -- peace. This grows in significance by the day, as the Republic's treacherous ways of maintaining alliances has been revealed as nothing more than a masquerade and their efforts in Vespucci made it clear to all that for them, diplomacy is but a secondary option. In addition, the Republic has enforced draconic measures at home to ensure crime remains low. As the Liberty Police continues to round-up more citizens for their factories in Texas, the Navy has been kept busy by Rogues and Xenos alike, a sign that Liberty may be little more than a paper tiger in reality.
