Greetings and Salutations to Med Force Enterprises and Omicron Supply Industries. My name is Elias Wilder, the new Commander in charge of the defense fleet.

Allow me to begin by saying that this new iteration of the Zoner Defense Fleet is not as it was before. The previous Commander of the fleet was run by someone of Zoner blood, but was not raised in the setting that we are familiar with...he didn't have to endure the tragedies on Gran Canaria as I did...

As such, the operations tempo (and indeed, operations in general) was not in line with much of Zoner beliefs or standards. He was too aggressive in his approach which lead to it's ultimate demise.

I have taken control of a limited number of the original ZDF vessels and some of it's personnel and have relocated all central operations pertaining to defense from Planet Gran Canaria in Omega-48 to Baffin. Our place of operations is temporarily located at Shasta Orbital Skyhook but have plans on relocating in the coming months to a station suited more to our specific needs. With all this being said, before moving forward with doing any other patrols or observations of other Zoner installations in Sirius at large, I wanted to touch base with the two other Zoner groups that I am aware of that are still presently operating.

I am starkly aware of the ephemeral state that many other Zoner defensive groups have been. However, in reviewing each of these different groups and the timelines of their lifespan, I have come to the conclusion there is a reason for their sudden and often times short-lived existences. They were too aggressive with their approach. Often times leading to clashes with the local governments or factions. This is where we aim to differentiate ourselves from our failed cousins.

I would like to arrange a meet with your respective representatives to discuss this at length along with generating an understanding between our groups relating to defense of our different operations and how we can aid you in those operations. Please let me know if able to arrange a meet and we can decide on the venue and the date/time.

First to OSI: In light of your request, we have reviewed the Collective Security Agreement that was signed by Freeport 1 and Bretonia and have tweaked our deployment footprint for the area. For the time being, I've assigned one of our Gunboats, the Northwest Passage, to do regular patrols of the Freeport 1 NFZ. It's captained by one of our best, Captain Kasumi Ito. She is actually the Captain of our Flagship, the Eventide, but that vessel is apart of our Carrier group and bringing that many vessels into Omega-3 could be viewed by Bretonia as a rather aggressive move. So for now, we will rotate crews on the Northwest Passage and if any major events happen in Omega-3, we will request OSI to reach out jointly with ZDF to the Bretonian Government to attain clearance for larger vessels to patrol the NFZ around Freeport 1. Please let us know if you require extra patrols and we can deploy additional vessels.

Doctor Holliday, it's an honor to speak to you. I heard many stories of your deeds during the occupation of Gran Canaria. While I was one of the resistance fighters on the ground during that time, my accomplishments pale in comparison to yours. Concerning your question about Bretonia: I'll be honest, for someone of my history with Bretonia, it's difficult...just as it is for other Zoners in my predicament being required to work with them after all the harm they've done to our people. However, this isn't all about me, it's about the people that we have sworn to protect. So, as long as they allow Zoners to patrol the NFZ around Freeport 1, the satellite stations in the orbit of the station, and adhere to the rules of the NFZ, then I will work with them to ensure that the safety of other Zoners in that territory and will attempt to solve any disputes with them via diplomatic means rather than in the moment. I know how they love to pretend they never do any wrong and are above everyone else...it's best to treat them like a petulant child rather than a large government responsible for billions of citizens much of the time.

Eris knows it's difficult to speak about.

Concerning the meeting: I will schedule a date and time with Captain Ito to switch out responsibilities in Omega-3/Baffin for a week and schedule our meeting for around the end of that week. This allows me to get a better handle on the delicate situations in Omega-3 as well as around the Freeport there. I will let you both know when that time comes.

With the holidays now over, we've begun resuming our regular tempo of assignments. One of which is the assignment of the Northwest Passage to Omega-3 as you requested last month. As of this report, there has not been any unusual activity in the region during our patrols. We will continue to monitor the area as you have requested unless you wish us to pull back our patrols to our new command location, Freeport 14.

Additionally, I'd like to see about scheduling a get together //forum rp post between our respective parties. I believe Freeport 1 would be an apt location to meet, unless you have another location that you believe would be more amenable. We will stand by for your reply on a date, time, and location. I can schedule around whichever time is good for you.
