[Scored Respawn Event]UNTAMED - The First Armada - 05-14-2023

UNTAMED: Omicron Nu Respawn event
Saturday June 3rd 19:00 UTC

Community respawn, plugin counted event

After Liberty's Forces successfully defending the Supergate and coming out victorious, Liberty's Secretary of the Interior Boris Livingstone has made the decision to open Omicron Nu to all civilian traffic.

Liberty's conventional forces have now no choice but to move to the northern parts of Omicron Nu openly and secure the entire system ahead of the expected massive influx of civilian traffic as the new Gold Rush for unexploited resources begins after Omicron Nu has been open to civilians. The First Armada is once again spearheading the efforts, and some unconfirmed rumors have surfaced of Liberty's research parties pushing as far as Omicron Minor. External researchers have even been hired by their intelligence arm to avoid any potential surprises for civilian traffic.

Liberty's forces have high confidence in simply being able to tame the entire system and secure the civilian trade, relying on their conventional forces, superior economics, and unmatched budget of their military. They might soon discover that this is not how things are meant to be. House war rules and conventions do not apply in the mysterious Omicrons. As the Order has found out, the Nomads are a recurring threat, and human fleets should always be on their toes not to overcommit to their squabbles, lest they end up like Toledo. Has Liberty entered a new era of prosperity and trade between the house and the Omicrons, or has it opened a Pandora's Box and woken up the dangers of a mysterious system that should have remained dormant?

Faction Motivations

The Outcasts (Credit: HS>)
After such a large engagement between the Omicron factions stirred by Liberty expansionism into the Omicrons, the Outcast division's worries are brought to life when reports are brought of large-scale movements in the system. Omicron Nu, as a backdoor into Liberty for any Cardamine smugglers, while not a primary route, still holds value due to the escape route into the largely unsecured Omicrons. With Corsair and Liberty expansion on the rise in this system, the Outcasts resolve to maintain their presence through any necessary sabotage and strikes.

The Core (Credit: Core|)
After receiving information about the recent activity in the sector, the Core, as always, are trying to get material benefits. The prediction is that with the increased presence of Liberty ships, nomads will show increased hostility. The Core rushes in to intercept them in order to get as much leftover remains as possible. But first of all, it is necessary to defeat the sworn enemies who are equally interested in the obtained remains of nomads - the Order, and their possible allies.

The Order (Credit: Order|)
Scouts have reported an unprecedented gathering in the Omicron Nu system, various groups have all started to gather and are heading straight for a confrontation. To make matters worse, the disturbance in the system seems to have attracted the attention of the Nomads as well. With the risk of exposure to infection higher than ever, the Order sees no other choice but to intercept and take out as many Nomads as it can. Any Core or Outcast pilots that meet their end during the operation will simply prove to be a side perk.

The Corsairs (Credit: DTR-)
Corsairs, always seeking new avenues for profiting off the Artifact trade, are on the active lookout to gain a foothold within the area. They are also very much interested in sabotaging any attempts by Outcasts and Core to gain a foothold at this critical junction. Order forces in the area were notified of the fleet's arrival and were requested to provide basic support in the operation, in the spirit of recently rekindled cooperation. In return, Corsair forces will assist The Order with any Nomad threats in the area as well.

Zoners(Credit: Phoenix)
Per the invasion of Erie, and the slaughter that Liberty caused, Outworlders were afraid of further disastrous expansion of the Liberty on their far borders. Outworders have strengthened patrols in the Omicron Nu system to ensure the safety of the Rarotonga and have launched deep recon patrols to watch out for Liberty forces' movements. Normally eliminating Nomad patrols, now Outworlders do whenever they can weaken the position of Liberty forces within Omicron Nu, making sure no one would find a way back or reach Rarotonga...

The time has come for the Omicrons to prove what they really are and what they are meant to remain - Untamed.

TIME: Saturday June 3rd 19:00 UTC/SERVER
WHO CAN ATTEND: Any faction
WHO'S SCORES WILL BE COUNTED WITH PLUGIN: Factions shown in the diagram. Any other parties are not eligible for awards but can freely attend and join the action.
RULE CHANGES: Respawn timer removed for around 75 minutes. Vessels can attack all vessels of other IDs.

Clarifications
Respawn timer removed you can jump back in the battle if you die - dock in Nu!

Just because you CAN attack every non-same ID ship doesn't mean you HAVE TO. This is not a forced free-for-all. Just rule protection for Zoners, Core, and other factions without direct attack lines.

We ask players to respect the chaos of the untamed Omicron Nu regions and limit negative roleplay consequences in the aftermath. It should be very hard to tell who attacked who in roleplay during the chaos.

No spawn camping - diagram represents suggested docking points, but you can choose any available. If you win and gather a large force please do not camp closer than 4k to each respawn point

Must allow freshly arriving vessels to dock for the first time if they //request it

You can freely swap between factions and vessels

No repair Ships allowed.

NPCs may appear during the event.

The event should take place in 2-5 weeks' time

The Order maintains a policy of non-engagement with Liberty, meaning that the roleplay approach in question does not align with the conventions upheld by the Primary Fleet. Additionally, we strongly advise indie players of the Order against participating in events that require them to engage in conflict with Liberty forces (or any other human forces if we can't gain specific benefits that align with our modus operandi).

Upon further observation, it appears that this particular type of event has been perceived as a form of "support" from the Order towards the Corsairs in direct confrontation with Liberty forces. However, I'd like to once more emphasize that this perspective does not align with our principles, and we discourage any form of combat against Liberty.

The icons are mere docking point suggestions so you don't get shot when you leave the base - please submit a paragraph of the Order motivation
and it will be incorporated in the writeup
. The writeup is obviously done from Liberty's PoV so far - we will incorporate motivations from other factions and welcome separate roleplay buildup prior to the event.

Who shoots who is on the individual players and factions during the event.

If we find a staff member willing to come there will be Nomad NPCs present, hopefully, nomad and wild players as well, and obviously Outcasts and the Core. i.e. more than plenty of things to do for the Order without shooting Liberty. You can also roleplay before during and after the event and strengthen your desired stance!

RE: UNTAMED:Nu RESPAWN event [In Development] - BobMacaroni - 05-14-2023

is the Core and OCs allied, but Core is neutral to Liberty? or are we pulling Force! and Core and OC ally to kill Liberty?

RE: UNTAMED:Nu RESPAWN event [In Development] - Firewolfy - 05-14-2023

Not a question for us really - the event will work well either way, Core and OC will submit their own paragraphs of motivation to writeup + can decide on the spot based on how it goes balance wise.

The point of the event is not to defeat Liberty, or Liberty Vs All. But to remind it and people that Omicrons are vast, mysterious, chaotic and well, Untamed.

There can be no RP consequences from lawfuls as per server rules - they were set up that way by staff because non house space is meant to be wild, vast, lawless where it's hard to tell who actually did what.
