Hello Doc! I pray to all available gods that our „undecipherable“ quantum encryption works as intended when you see this video message…
Time is of the utmost essence right now, so I’ll keep this as short as possible.
I just met Captain Nicole Hayes of the First Fleet, commander of the battlecruiser Plymouth Rock, while passing through Pennsylvania. It is important that her identity remains unknown from this point on, so please keep that in mind for future communications outside our secured company channels.
Due to moral conflicts and other personal reasons, this whistelblower disclosed to me that, according to her sources within the Navy, the system will be invaded by Liberty in merely three days. The goal is to attack and occupy planet Erie and with that, annexing the entire system! Some fishy reason for this drastic measure is an alleged insurgency, apparently. The operation is already in full swing under the codename PESTICIDE.
*Hans takes a deep breath, followed by a long sigh*
I know you reside on the planet. Please do us all a favour and get out as fast as you can, since things will turn sour quickly. This should also go for the other 400 million inhabitants of Erie. The Captain suggested that we Zoners should start evacuating as many people as possible, by all means. It is crystal clear that we can not withstand the Liberty Navy for long, but with the help of military ships and enough transports, it should be imperative to get as many people out of harm’s way as possible even under attack, until a full retreat must be made. Additionally, such insolence from the Liberty government can not go unpunished, or at least without resistance. So, defensive measures should be taken in any case...they violate ancient Zoner sovereignty and put countless humans at risk, after all!
Lord knows what Liberty has in store for Erie during the operation, or on the long run. The last worst-case scenario of interplanetary conquest can still be seen in Leeds…many lives are on the line, Doc. Multiple millions more if the conflict escalates.
As soon as you are safe, a strategy has to be formulated. Obviously, the various Zoner leaderships must be informed posthaste so they can mobilize, and evacuation can be planned and commenced.
Oh, and as a proof of authenticity for all these claims, I attached a transcript of my conversation with Captain Hayes.

So that cat is out of the bag. Liberty plans to do to Erie what Bretonia did to Gran Canaria. I guess the rumors are true in the rumblings I have been hearing from the many Zoner settlements in the area.
My safety be damned, Hans! I lost one home to one conquesting empire and I will not lose another. My retreat here is legally mine, bought and paid for with the nearest settlement about two hours away. I will would rather die than give in.
With me is Captain Lucian Pickett, captain of one of our fighters, the [MFE]Pasteur. If I ask for them, I can also have a compliment of Zoner freedom fighters.

Doc Holliday...I understand where this strong will for defiance is coming from, especially after all your the suffering you've experienced in the past. But let me tell you this: You are a pigheaded fellow for sure. While I highly respect your decision to stay and fight, I hope from the bottom of my heart that you know what you're in for...and that we'll meet again after this insane ordeal is over.
