I am pleased to inform you I have been authorized to transfer a finder's fee of 20,000,000 to your vessel - your cooperation with the Republic has been noted, we will take it from here. To: Liberty Navy High Command Encryption: Classified Subject: Crew, Weapons and Carrier readiness Good day, Ladies and Gentlemen Finally, after 4 years in the Juneau Shipyard, I am happy to report that the repairs have been finished on the Karibda, the new armor plates have been installed, its hull
is reinforced and we just received, mounted and tested the new "Gale" turrets from Radford. We are still waiting for the "Terminator" turrets to be delivered from Radford to have all the weapon slots full. Those eggheads and their research do provide us with valuable tools. After a quick flight to get the crew accommodated, since there are a lot of new members with quite a few veterans, we have tested the "Gale" turrets and they are quite effective. Once the "Terminator" turrets are ready and mounted, the "Karibda" will resume its patrol in Liberty space. I will voice a concern: the amount of veterans in the crew is too small for a ship this size and the greenhorns will be tested, as will be the ship, in the current situation that's in Liberty. Reporting on the LNS-Karibda: It has seen action against the insurgent elements in the Vespucci sector. The crew and the ship handled the encounter with ease, and the testing of the new weapons was concluded with success. A further detailed report on this testing was forwarded to Radford. It has also participated, along other ships from the Navy, in an encounter with quite a large number of corsairs ships in the Omicron Nu sector. Due to the lack of experience in fighting corsairs, the Karibda has sustained damage that required us to dock at Juneau Shipyard for repairs. Upon reviewing and analyzing the battle report, it was decided that the Karibda lacked long range weapons to handle such an encounter properly. My first suggestion was to mount 2 Mortars, as standard equipment, but the guys in Radford, I presume were delighted with the testing of the previous weapons, have sent a memo delaying the departure from Juneau, as we are being fitted with new long range weapons - "Kinetic" turrets. We are currently on stand-by, awaiting the arrival and mounting of the turrets.
