Hello, I'm new to the game and I have a question: How do I get a big train?
I've scanned lots of trains that have about 100k cargo. Can they actually be bought?
I bought a small train (23 mil, 3k cargo).. and attached cargo pods to it but it doesnt seem to increase its cargo capacity. What am I doing wrong? How can I get that 100k cargo capacity I see on other trains flying around?

Those are NPC ships, the largest player ship has just a 5000 cargo capacity.

NPC trains indeed have a lot of cargo however you cannot buy them. Also you should not have more than ur boat can hold. Let say you encounter a glitch. You destroy an NPC train and loot more items than your train can hold, From memory the autoban system can ban you. In other words, if you loot something above your capacity, jettison it right away. :)

You can only tractor in as much as your cargo hold (IE if you have a 1000 cargo ship, your tractorbeam will stop when you're full) if durring a mod update your cargo capacity decreases, (IE: 1000 to 980) you are required to sell the extra cargo (20 in this case) or else you will get the cheating detected message when you undock.

Yes indeed however once in a while it will glitch, i've had it happen to me once on single player. A titan with couple thousands k is a nice payback before the next mission.:) For the server, jettison the extra right away before going anywhere.
