You know that time you say "I'm definitely done with this" and convince yourself that's the absolute truth for the rest of your life? Yeah no, this isn't one of those times. After a recent nostalgia trip from reading old chats, glancing at the forums and watching memorable videos, sheer happiness from re-living some of the memories took over. I wasn't aware just how much I f'ing loved this game, even 15 years later.
Hello again. How is everyone? I've been playing silently for the past week under the nostalgia goggles that I'm fully aware will fade off at some point which is why I don't know how long I'll be sticking around, if at all, but for now I'll be checking out what's new. So far I am pleasantly suprised by the amount of encounters I had and honestly I've been having a blast, despite the low player count. Those who didn't get to meet me (from late 2018 onward) - I'm just an old veteran who enjoyed Discovery for most of his teen and early adulthood life.
What did I miss in the last 5 years? Any kind of a summary on story, economy, balance, etc. is welcome. Last I left the Gallic war was being wrapped up, new Sigmas were added and the Kusari-Rheinland war had just started.
