Following the recent progress of Sprague as a result of the trade lane to Freeport 1 being finished and the planet being drastically more populated, mostly thanks to the migrants from Leeds, Omega-3 has been rising in interest for the Bretonian government. As the planet rapidly developed first problems arose due to BMM's questionable work malpractice which the local pirates used to start an insurgency. Bretonia struggles to maintain law on the planet to this day, and has to devote more resources than she would want to protecting the trade from Sprague towards Bretonia.

Corsairs saw this as a perfect opportunity to plunder and pillage the other part of Omega-3, the trade artery towards Rheinland. They proceeded to send a large force to the Omega-7 gate in an attempt to disrupt traffic and cripple Bretonia's reputation and presence in the system. Learning their lesson from the past, however, Bretonia was alerted of the upcoming assault, and managed to send the Sprague battlegroup in time to defend the critical gate. Before large Corsair ships managed to besiege the gate and do any damage to the civilian traffic, and risking a potential flank from lawful forces in Omega-7, they were forced to meet the Bretonians head-on in the heart of Omega-3.

Bretonia wasn't the only one impacted by the blockade of the main artery between her and Rheinland. Just before the fight broke out, on the other side of the Omega-7 gate Rheinland forces had arrived. They were dispatched swiftly having been notified of the temporary blockade and decided to enter Omega-3 to investigate. Seeing the Bretonians outnumbered they joined the fight to even the score and wipe out the Corsairs.

// Ingame outcome: Corsairs won with better coordination of capital ships and snubs working together. It was a closer fight than it might seem, but Bretonian side couldn't finish off the low hp targets which there were many of.
