Senkaku Research and Development - Information & Feedback - Senkaku - 07-10-2023 Senkaku Research & Development
ID: Samura Industries IFF: Samura Industries TAG: SRD]
History Senkaku Regional Development (SRD) is amongst many subsidiary companies owned by Samura Industries, one of Kusari's major business conglomerates, or keiretsus. Founded in late 829 A.S, Senkaku Regional Development's primary goal is to establish itself in the Senkaku region, commonly referred to as the Tau sector, to further the reach and influence of the Kusari Empire.
As the planned exploitation of the Taus may run contrary to Kusari's diplomatic and political efforts, Samura Industries deemed it wise to delegate these controversial endeavors to an independently liable daughter company, preventing any potential ramifications from being traced back to the corporation. In late 832 A.S, Kishiro Technologies - another keiretsu of Kusari - successfully developed a Jumphole-generating jumpdrive, leading to the discovery of the Ishigaki sector, coined internationally Earheart. After sending reconnaissance teams through these artificial Jumpholes, it was quickly decided that the Earhart system and the Uncharted systems that are accessible from it were to be included in Senkaku's interests, ultimately branching out of the Tau sector. Senkaku Regional Development has since restructured itself to be able to fulfil different tasks that would usually be handled by its mother company such as the fulfilment of delivery-based contracts. As a result, the organisation has decided to rebrand to Senkaku Research & Development in 833 A.S. Company Assets To further upkeep the terraforming currently taking place on the planet, Junyo relies on a steady supply of Alien Organisms from Planet Kurile. Due to the Gas Miners Guild's interference on Kurile, Junyo is currently relying on the few supplies that make it from Kurile, or alternatively from Baffin, although the Baffin route has not been deemed feasible both economically and safely. Newly constructed Hydroponic factories have resulted in an increased interest in water, which is abundantly found within the icy fields of the Saga system. Large-scale water siphoning operations have taken place, resulting in vastly increased activity in the system. The efforts of the keiretsu have not gone unnoticed and attacks on convoys have considerably increased. In an effort to combat these pirates, the SRD has stationed several snubcraft on the installation to bolster security. Senkaku uses Osaka as a hub to store minor H-Fuel deposits and ship it off to various customers throughout Sirius, including corporate entities that deal with their competitor, the GMG, in an attempt to once again establish a foothold in the H-Fuel market. Senkaku Research and Development has personnel at Yokohama to assist the mother company in their constant efforts to further enhance the capabilities of the company's fleet. Diplomacy Friendly: There are a few groups that Senkaku Research & Development considers friendly. While the SRD publicly supports Samura Industries and its subsidiaries as well as the Hogosha, the Farmers Alliance receives their support through ambiguous third parties to make backtracing nigh-impossible for anyone not involved in either group. Neutral: There are numerous corporate entities as well as lawful and unlawful groups in Sirius that the SRD does not have any notable ties with. Wary: While not considered to be outright hostile, these are the main competitors and rivals that the SRD is wary of. Hostile: These entities are either shot or avoided by the SRD and vice versa. Goals SRD's objectives include, but are not limited to: ► Resolving food shortages by exponentially expanding and developing the agricultural sector. ► Gaining direct control of a potential Alien Organisms site in the Baffin system. ► Hindering rival competitors from traversing the Senkaku region and sabotaging their business ventures within. ► Expelling any entities hostile to Samura Industries' business interests. ► Increasing Samura Industries' profit margins by cornering the Alien Organisms market. ooRP RE: Senkaku Regional Development - Information & Feedback - Toaster - 07-10-2023 Damn, that's a really cool, succinct write-up. Whoever made that should be given a unique SRP ship as payment. RE: Senkaku Regional Development - Information & Feedback - Lusitano - 07-10-2023 Baffin is not Kusari, so take that in consideration because the locals are sure not like that. RE: Senkaku Regional Development - Information & Feedback - Sally - 07-21-2023 Your faction holds a record of a player faction that went from "Hey, that's pretty cool" to "Well, what a shame" the fastest in my books. I haven't seen you not even once pull up a decent fight in Tau-29/Baffin since you started doing your shenanigans around there, and I'm pretty sure everyone's gonna remember you as "the guys that logged a bomber swarm and a bunch of gunboats against a single ship and kept restocking mid fight". It's fine to suck in pvp in a two decades old game, but your lot shouldn't be so ashamed on it, this will give you far worse looks than loosing a bunch of pews. I wouldn't bother trying to chase officialdom, I can bet you're not getting it after the kind of moves you've pulled out, at least not in the near future. That's my two cents about it right now, take it as you wish. RE: Senkaku Regional Development - Information & Feedback - Lucas - 07-21-2023 Thank you for your Feedback, though I dont consider Feedback about PvP particularly valuable If you consider how these things happen almost daily and we have been on the receiving end of it already as well, you being part of such instances in three different ships with entirely different IDs, one of which being a BC that was used after an obviously ill-intended Siege Declaration after you were shot down. Though that is just my two cents. If rules were broken then that is something else entirely and I am thankful for any such instance that is brought my way so it can be sorted out. The last time I saw your faction pulling such epic gamer moves has been this evening with some dragon snub that has given to my knowledge, until now, excellent encounters to both foes and allies alike, and he's never tried to gank none of you, in part because he's too much of a good guy for it and because he doesn't even have the numbers for it, so excuse me if I doubt on that excuse. Though that is just my two cents. That BC is a shared ship that literally everyone in this server can get their hands into, and the declaration was completely legitimate given what your faction did out of nowhere and completely unprovoked against Maquis in FP6, there's no such thing as "ill-intended siege declaration" and I encourage you to go on and file a report if you think this was ooRP motivated. It's also worth noting that as far as I know, nobody has used a Maquis ship to shoot the base since declaration. Besides, if it was ill-intended as you claim I would've declared with IDs better suited for a siege than Maquis... However, the PMs I received after the fact by one of your members though? That sure did smell like sanction baiting and "ill-intended", but I'll abstain of discussing that here. Broken rules are reported, not discussed in feedback, feedback discusses behavior be positive or negative that doesn't necessarily breaks any rules, else it's trial by forum. Any rules worth reporting that I witness are usually reported to either staff or HCs, whether something happens afterwards is another thing. RE: Senkaku Regional Development - Information & Feedback - Czechmate - 07-21-2023 Baffin shenanigans aside (you know what I think about you provoking people that never PvP on purpose, in an in-memoriam system + the issue that's with admins) it was nice to see you start action in Tau-29. I got ganked hard as well myself, but corporate gankers are infinitely better than what we had for a long time - a dead Tau-29, it's nice you bring activity there and it snowballs in other sides. The system has regional hub potential if you keep it up.
