Bonjour, Monsieur Carter.

I must confess, it has taken me some attempts to process and gather my response in a way that feels appropriate to answer, and i remain unsure i truly have, but i place those concerns aside, as i would rather respond to you in a timely manner.
I have thought on your proposal, i of course have my concerns and reservations, but i trust you to have thought through the matters surrounding this.

With that said...
I accept your proposal, and you have my support. There are certain things that must be done, and obligations i still feel i must fulfil - or perhaps make up for failing to fulfil them years ago - and i am ill equipped to do more than lament those obligations while i sit here in a Freeport eyeing the past and taking independents into my care. (However, unless it becomes incongruous with the required political climate, i would prefer to keep ahold of TNM. Holding independent assets in neutral ground between three houses and the Zoners has distinct value. I shan't bore you with business plans and third party dealings.)

The only remark i have to end with for now is, all things as they are, i hope you understand the risk i am personally taking involving myself in this matter. I imagine this affair will create a great divide between myself and my homeland, at least for the time being.
I will take that risk.

I apologise if i come across a touch lacking in composure, i try to pride myself on maintaining a certain air of my heritage, but this affair has been quite sudden and much more impactful in scope compared to my limited prior plans for myself.

But, as his morning had only started, he rushed to put up his colorful, but still distinctly Bretonian by look, uniform decorated with a number of insignia of the Armed Forces, reflecting the barely-risen sun of New London through the windows.]

Thank you for your response. Of course, i have no expectation for any immediate action, such an affair will be time consuming, if possible at all.

If i may, i do wish to express that i am quite aware of the lengths required to even prepare for such an endeavour. Time from home has not dulled my own memories of the war, and i hold no illusion as to the likely feelings of the denizens of the Houses towards my homeland.
I imagine this may be quite the political leap for us both, non? And not one without risks to reputation and worse.

d'Aubigny takes a moment to lean back in her chair, rubbing her chin, evidently in thought, though staring into the camera with with a subtly suspicious gaze, before adjusting the collar on the Gallic-styled coat she wore, a fanciful local imitation, rather than one from Gallia itself, and leaning forward to continue.

Regardless, do keep me informed, until such time as the engine of politics can gain traction i will continue with my own affairs, but do feel free to contact me should you wish my involvement in any of these matters. I would be most interested in knowing how things are progressing - Although of course i understand the requirement for state security in such matters, and would not expect the Bretonnian government to break such policies on my behalf, should there be information involved that they would rather an individual would not be privy too.

The last comment is delivered with a deliberate drynes, a diplomatically delivered acknowledgement of a general expectation of removal from the deeper politics of the current situation, although one backed with an unsaid disapproval of that potential outcome. The Noble exile then leans back, slipping to a more genuine and relaxed smile.

But! The bothers of politics aside - all-consuming as they are - i am intrigued by your offer as to visiting New London. I've never had the chance to truly take in much of the houses of Sirius, truthfully it's only recently i have pulled myself to something resembling a degree of dress and civilization more fitting my heritage. The wider societies of Sirius had little love for accepting someone of my origin for some years, so i spent much time skirting the fringes of Sirius.

And of course, much of my peerage in Gallia at the time gave little love for what Sirius had to offer, the air of warhawkish indulgence was quite consuming, an attitude that i personally believe was the core failing of the Royal Government, the distinct lack of respect or sense of obligation for people they ostensibly wanted to turn to subjects... My apologies, i'm rambling of darker times.

I would be most grateful for the oppertunity to experience more of Bretonia, especially its art and history, as well as fulfilling an addmited selfish curiosity for the attitude and functions of the upper class of your people.
My own schedule is likely rather more flexible than your own, so feel free to schedule any such matter as is convenient to yourself, Sir Archibald~

Again, do keep me updated insofar as you are of course able to, especially on anything regarding the assembly of any other prospective members of this government.

d'Aubigny smiles and lets out a restrained chuckle, side-eyeing the camera as she leans in to end the message, amusement at the likelihood of assembling even a solid handful of people like herself for this task showing through. Despite that however, the offer of exploring some of the higher soceity and culture of Bretonnia would seem to elicit a more genuine excitement.
