This is one of the most mind-numingly confusing and done completely without a thought to larger implications acts in recent times by the administration team. That we have players that are light years away from understanding how both roleplay and logical consequences work is one thing, but to have admins step down to their level too is just... making me speechless.
So to address my curiosity:
- Why are official story events now used for doing this kind of moves? There was never, to my knowledge, any such previous happening, and certainty not on this scale;
- Why are the admins treating an in-lore disunited group as if it were a united front against Liberty? Zoners don't care about each other, they only care about those who live near them. Freeport 1 wouldn't help Freeport 11, and neither would Freeport 11 help Freeport 1. It goes both ways.
- In relation to the above, how and why are the Liberty lawful treated as if they're some pushovers? Is there seriously no thinking behind this than just "yeah, we saw a post, and we now made it canon.". Do people not realize how damaging this actually is both for Zoners and their enemies? That the precedent is set that you can get and throw FR5s against the largest groups out there without 2 thoughts?
Anyhow, rant over. As a lawful main for the best part of my time in Discovery here, please release the evidence publicly so we know what to avoid doing to be in the same situation. Thank you.

yeah i'd like to see some evidence
outside the event the only thing im aware of the LSF shooting zoners over is them being hostile in caps
if this isnt a player inspired FR5 and instead some weird way of going about rep changes, why not just do that instead????

Devs simply can't make a micro-patch to adjust the rep accoridng to story progression, so they have to lobby in the FR5

So, now that I've had a chance to review the rules, I would be very interested to see exactly which of the 2 Zoner OFs that existed at the time of Operation Pesticide (assuming that's what this is about) submitted an FR5 against the entirety of Liberty. Last I checked, not a single one of them ever even entered Liberty at that time, much less participated in the event.

Groups that have been subject to the use of FR5 by another faction, may treat this faction as hostile targets, except for transports, within their Zone of Influence.
To that point, I would like to know if they all came to an agreement, or if it was something decided upon by the dev team because they can't get it together and make a competent storyline.

To further expand on this topic, the only RP thread I've seen thus far is a bunch of Zoners that can't agree on what to do with the Erie situation. You mean to tell me that a group (if you can call it that) of people who previously had zero connection to the Erie Zoners suddenly cares? The entire point of the Zoners is that they're a bunch of unaffiliated people who intentionally become reclusive. Sure there are communities of them, but for the most part, they aren't really linked in any way, beyond the name.

We don't need to use FR5 as a disguise for faction rep changes. We can just collaborate with admins and modify IDs/add system messages on the fly without a patch (these things need only a server restart).

I would like to know how this, a post formulated by an official government entity, implying the agreement of not one, but all official factions that comprise the government, is not considered enough grounds for an FR5 to be applied while at the same time this thread is a thing.
Where is the consistency?
