Hello, I am trading ores for money, will most likely try to make a good role-playing with active people and fractions. Maybe I will buy or create POB for role-playing. I would like to find partners for this, who wants to play actively in Disco in near time.

Just an FYI, MyRP on Disco has always been as a metals and Ores shipper since before 2012. (well before ores were the cash cow that they are now)

I created a pair of POB's in Tau-29 and Sigma-15 for use as ores storage whereas I sold the ores which were rare in one area but plentiful in the other. (iridium for Cloak Disruptors from Delta via the Sigma-15 base being sold in Tau-29 and Bretonian alloys in Sigma-15, for example) I thought that this would be helpful for other POB owners and that I could make a go of selling them, but it didn't turn out this way, unfortunately.

My point being that I have already sold the Sigma-15 base and the Tau-29 is no longer being used. I'm not sure where you had planned to operate, but I'm looking to sell Tau-29 as well. It is a Core 2 with shield and otherwise loaded with Storage for a total of 230k units. I've never had any trouble there in the nearly a year they've existed which made me want to make a defense module.
I sold the Sigma-15 base for a mere 400M credits and would be willing to do the same with Tau-29. Since my attempts at generating RP with these bases was not successful, I was not able to upgrade beyond Core 2, and I no longer have a need for the base.

If the Tau-29 location does not suit you, I also have considerable experience in RP'ing base movements.
(this is only the most recent example)

I mention this to you only because I saw that you were considering having a base, and a Core 2 base for this price is a very inexpensive and easy alternative, if you're interested.

There are a few Player-Owned Base admins who's primary role with said base is to market the local ores. I'm sure one of them would be willing to work with you on achieving your RP goal Smile

I have no desire to compete with the hundreds of existing POB's who are buying/selling ores and making the same equipment as everyone else. That's why I tried to buy/resell the commodities that POB factories commonly used by gathering them from their many far-flung sources into single sellpoints far closer. But I literally just carried away and sold 250 million credits worth of materials that has been sitting for 3 months.


Apparently, if you're not listed as a source on FLstat, you don't exist RP or no.
c'est la vie.
If POB refineries actually come about, I may reconsider.
So now is time to move along and try something else.

Thus is born DrengrCo, with the hope that the upcoming patch will address the flagrant issues with Disco that currently make convoy escort relatively pointless.

Sorry to butt in, can you explain how ores are now the cash cow? I currently fly and trade between Gallia and Rheinland/Sigma and earn around 20 million each way. I'd love to know better ways to earn money Smile

There are a couple of routes you can use for trading:
Just remember to look at house laws around trading, as an example only rhienland corps can move Military Salvage through Rheinland.

You are doing something wrong, for one route the profit is about 50 million and it does not matter what ore you trade.

It’s a little funny to me that someone is trying to impose the idea that somehow you can earn money with POB now. But you can certainly make a great roleplay and I'll think about this roleplay with POB owner.

I don't want to do anything other than trade ores, have fun, and earn in-game money anytime soon and then use it to make a good roleplay. This is probably also due to the fact that already 2 times I spent a lot of time on the game and made efforts to create or buy POBs made roleplay, made other stuff, and then I lost everything that was done. So at the moment I have a desire to only trade ores, who wants to join, come to my server in the discord.
