Ensign Vogel did a double-take at the corner of the workstation. Here was the corsair battlegroup, arrayed like a blocking force, he thought. There was some interference from the storm, but the signal was clear enough. So why the gravitometric anomaly? Maybe they had reinforcements jumping in? Strange that, seeing as they've never tried that before...

The ensign's face went slack as he witnessed the latest screen refresh. A chill went up his spine, and for a few moments, he could not make his hands obey the commands of his brain. When he managed, he fumbled for the intercom key. His supervisor came mere moments later, and immediately bolted for the master alarm switch, activating the klaxon which indicated the complete evacuation of Passau Outpost for the final time.

The dark matter storm in Munich has finally reached critical mass, and it won't take more than a day to completely eradicate the system. With only the critical personnel remaining to monitor corsair incursions and last-minute research and observation, only a few fast packets are enough to get them to safety. However, the bulk of the Rheinwehr's Ost Flotte is also in-system, in a unfortunately timed attempt at a tactical raid into Xi just as the corsairs are pulling out.

The Deterrence is not without problems of their own, however. By all accounts of the on-board specialists of the blocking armada, the storm's expansion is even more powerful than the post pessimistic estimates. Not only will the jump hole connecting Munich to the Omicrons collapse, but it is likely to eject a supermassive radioactive and gravitometric wave into Xi, which would destroy everything in its path. While Syros and Tinos have been salvaged for any useful equipment weeks before and running on skeleton crews, the population of Thira colony could not be relocated with such ease. And now, instead of maintaining position until planned convoys arrived to take the civilians away, they will need to scramble to load as many as possible onto the capital ships of the armada itself.

Of course, the Ferdinand von Hapsburg is not one to waste an opportunity. Those vessels close enough to the jump hole will jump in to harry the Deterrence forces, while the rest will take the long way around to Xi, through the Sigma-15 and Rho route, however lightly charted it may be. It will be up to the skill and resilience of the individual kapitans and leutnants to disrupt whatever event the Deterrence wanted to protect with their blocking fleet.

However, neither of the human admirals are quite expecting a third entity to enter the battleground, prepared to hunt down anyone still afloat. The nomads and the wild have monitored this event for a long time, and now that the wave is about to break, they will be in prime position to "dispose of the flotsam"...

Combat Area & Disposition

RM start at Passau Outpost.
DTR start near the battlezone in Munich.
Nomads start at the Omicron Xi jump hole in Omicron Rho.
The Wild start at the Omicron Xi jump hole in Omega-55.

Objectives
  • DTR must evacuate a total of 400 colonists (//to be represented by Mining Machinery) from Thira colony. DTR can also choose to recover 400 units each of Consumer Goods, Food Rations, and Oxygen from Thira colony.
  • DTR must reach the Omicron Gamma jump hole in Omicron Xi, or the Omicron Delta jump hole in Omicron Rho. They may engage RM forces to delay their retreat.
  • The RM fleet must designate three capital ships and three snubs as reinforcements. RM reinforcements must proceed to Omicron Xi via the Sigma-15 -> Omicron Rho route. They must attempt to rejoin the rest of the fleet. EDIT: not enough slots to do this.
  • The remaining RM main force must reach the Sigma-15 jump hole in Omicron Rho. They may engage DTR forces to delay their retreat.
  • Upon sighting Nomad capital ships, both human fleets may choose to cease hostilities with one another.
  • Nomads and Wild must attempt to destroy all human forces.

Rules
  • Dark Matter is bombarding Munich - it is considered a dead zone 7 minutes after event start.
  • The dark matter ejection will start covering Omicron Xi in 7 minute intervals, by letter column. After the first 7 minutes, the A column is a dead zone, after 14 minutes the B column is a dead zone, and so on. Dead zones will be announced as system-wide pings.
  • If you are in a dead zone after a timer ping, you are dead. Bind the self-destruct hotkey under Multiplayer controls. When you see a ping, open your map, and if you're inside the dead zone, disconnect from the server press self-destruct. (I figure since the self-destruct hotkey doesn't work, we can use another objective metric to see who is out of the fight)
  • Nomads (NOT Wild) can remain in the latest dead zones. Essentially, their timer is 7 minutes behind. E.g. if column C is a dead zone, nomads can fly through it, but cannot fly back into B.
  • Cloaking is allowed for Nomads, but no one else.
  • Omega-55 and Omicron Zeta are off-limits for the human fleets.
  • No docking is allowed anywhere except for Thira Colony. If you dock there, ensure your auto-buy is OFF.
  • Fighter and bombers have unlimited respawns if killed in Omicron Xi. @Implosion will beam you right near the fight after you respawn and undock.
  • Event ends for each faction when they have achieved their objective, or all of their ships are dead.

Open some slots for MND? Makes sense when Nomads are involved.

I usually let other related factions register, just not advertising directly in this case because the event is not focused on those factions. I added a note below the table.
