Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - g18em2b - 10-07-2023 Following the latest update, after passing through a jump gate or jump hole, a dazzling burst of light occurs, which can be extremely bothersome and uncomfortable for the eyes. This visual effect is rather vexing and intrusive, and unfortunately, there is currently no way to avoid it. For individuals with specific medical conditions, this visual effect can pose significant challenges. Medical conditions such as migraines, retinal detachment, photosensitive epileptic seizures etc. may be exacerbated by intense flashes of light, potentially leading to health complications. It is crucial to consider the diverse needs and sensitivities of players and offer an option to disable this effect, ensuring a more inclusive and accessible gaming experience for all. RE: Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - MrKatz - 10-08-2023 Yes, and possibly have a "hyperspace hider" that keeps others from seeing you just jumped into a system I'd give up a standard turret slot for that. RE: Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - Tenshi Kuonji - 10-08-2023 I find this request kinda unique but also weird ... Code: "For individuals with specific medical conditions, this visual effect can pose significant challenges. Medical conditions such as migraines, retinal detachment, photosensitive epileptic seizures etc. may be exacerbated by intense flashes of light, potentially leading to health complications." I hope you don't get to Gallia because if that simply thing is messing with you then you should not be able to use Tradelines ... TL have those Flashlights you push, so ... if you know you are "Photosensitive" then, you should go and do other things ... because ANY GAME have that issue, but instead probably you can disable particle and effect details on the settings ¿have you try it out? Na, you ask too much, then, what will be the puporse of the game? and just "A standard turret slot for it"? nah, too basic ... RE: Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - g18em2b - 10-08-2023 Guys... I don't thing you understood the question. It was a trick question. And you both failed miserably. Of course players should have the option not to have their screen flooded with white pixels every time they arrive in a new system. This is a new visual effect. And it should not be imposed on anyone. I mean, what was the idea exactly? To have the player blinded after they complete a jump? Was the idea to incapacitate the player somehow? If that was the case, then the ship should be frozen in place for a certain amount of time. Was this effect supposed to alert other players that someone just arrived in the system? There are better, less intrusive ways of accomplishing this. This new visual effect is like imposing the Bloom Effect on everyone. I don't know how else to explain it. But, to use an... erotic analogy, just because you like something being done to you ‒ I'm not judging ‒ doesn't give you the right to force that on anyone. Also, what do you mean you oppose... people having a setting to disable some new visual effect they don't want on their screen? That's like opposing people having a power off button on their monitor. RE: Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - Toaster - 10-08-2023 You just came out of a blinding, potentially seizure inducing jump tunnel, and the little blue wisps of light at the end of it are what bothers you? RE: Community Feedback: hyperspace jump flash - Kherty - 10-08-2023 What personally annoys me are the EFL Trade Lanes when taking it, I feel it is unnecessary and needs to be removed. Singleplayer was made for you - no one and nothing can disturb your peace there. To.make it so that players do not magically pop into existence upon exiting a jump gate/hole/drive. What bothers me is the complete FLOOD FILL OF MY SCREEN with white pixels. The whole screen becomes WHITE. This FLASH EFFECT doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes you only get the cool blue wisps, sometimes you get the WHITE FLASH. I take if you haven't been flashed yet? |
