[Ships] Gaian destroyer heavy turrets have limited backwards arc - R.P.Curator - 10-14-2023

====================
Type: Ship & Balance
Bug: Gaian Destroyer heavy turrets slot 1&2 have limited arcs when shooting back
====================

Reproduction Steps:
  • Buy Gaian Destroyer
  • Mount heavy turrets that can go 360 on slot 1 & 2
  • Undock > Look back > Shoot turrets > Mouse target left-right

Since the heavy turret on pos 3 is forward only, the other 2 should be able to rotate and compensate to shoot both on the same target when firing back. If you change the arc, only 1 turret shoots. Considering the Gaian destroyer is a light destroyer - low hp/shield batt/ turret count and the 1st Heavy turret is always facing forward, you can't actually charge into battle or you're getting spanked so hard. This is a balance issue as well. Please discuss and asses if it needs improvement or not.

This is not fixable with how cruiser heavies are currently designed. A subset of cruiser heavies are designed with the assumption that the hardpoint is oriented straight forward. Turrets can only have a 180 degree arc backwards, I tried something like 220 and the game just limits it to 180. Changing the orientation of these hardpoints will screw with how Storms, Shards and Light Mortars behave. I might tinker with it a bit more later and see if I can get a compromise of sorts working but I'm not optimistic.
