Daumann contractors are ever eager to resume diamond mining operations in the Von Rohe belt. With the system's stability established for near forseeable future, Solarius Station is once again to serve as a hub for multiple operations, as long as investments continue. With the Hessian forces rebuilding, only desultory attacks against convoys have been recorded thus far. Such encouraging reports often result in the cutting of corners regarding security, as plasma cannons are a poor substitute for a mining laser when the convoy's bottom line grows ever higher. But shifting gravitational anomalies often result in new geopolitical priorities from enemies who have not been under serious consideration before...

With the Coalition's front against the Rheinland Military collapsed along with the Omega-7 jump hole, more dispositions are now available to assist the Red Hessians closer to their home. The Von Rohe belt has ever been a source of income for the Hessians, but exploiting it once again so soon after Dresden may prove more challenging than originally estimated. A mutually beneficial convoy assault is just the morale booster that the rank and file need to rekindle their dedication, and may help recruitment once others get news of a victory. Thus, high-level commanders on both sides are in agreement: it's time to let Rheinland know that their old enemies are still very much in play, and the Omegas should be treaded with caution, as they have always been.


Combat Area & Disposition

  • Rheinland forces start as follows (I will mark your disposition in the table):
    1 Cruiser, 1 Gunboat, 1 Bomber, 1 Fighter at Solarius
    1 Cruiser, 1 Bomber, 1 Fighter at the Omega-11 jump gate in Stuttgart
    the rest near Planet Stuttgart in Stuttgart.
  • Daumann convoy starts at the D6 mining zone.
  • Coalition forces start at the Omega-41 jump hole in Omega-11.
  • Red Hessian forces start at Northeim and proceed to the D6 mining zone..

Objectives
  • Rheinland forces: assist the Daumann convoy. Engage all enemy forces.
  • Daumann transports/miners: escape to Solarius.
  • Daumann escorts: protect the non-combat vessels.
  • Coalition forces: Destroy all enemy combat ships. Transports and miners can be engaged if they fire on any friendly ship.
  • Red Hessian forces: order the Daumann miners to fill the transports, and then follow them to the Valjala Lava Field under "escort", and jettison their cargo.
  • Red Hessian forces: destroy all transports and miners who don't comply with this demand. Engage all combat ships which interfere.

Rules
  • Event starts: Daumann sights Red Hessian forces.
  • Docking means you're out of the event for the remaining duration.
  • Leaving Omega-11 means you retreated, and are out of the event for the remaining duration.
  • Event ends:
    All lawful forces have been destroyed / retreated / docked.
    OR
    All unlawful forces have been destroyed / retreated / docked.
  • Note that after the event ends, normal server rules apply.
