allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lachlan MacRory and together with my brother Finnean, we lead the Irregulars. I'm contacting you today to introduce our group to your company, in hopes we can find mutualy beneficial business to conduct. We're a small-ish group of independent traders who specialise in dealing with 'localy defficient resources' as my brother would put it. In essence, if you need something not readily available to you because of its source, its manufacturer's opinion of you, or any other reason, we'll get it for you and deliver it to the location of your choosing. Of course, we also accept regular transportation contracts, so, if you for example want to export your products to places outside of your reach, or just need one more transport to re-supply your installations, we'll be happy to help with that too. I'll leave this channel open in case our offer intrigues you. Fly safe. MacRory out. Please forgive the nigh-quantum encryption on this channel—I hope your comms device of choice has enough RAM to parse the public key. Detroit takes the privacy of our clients and business partners very seriously. I do indeed believe that we have several opportunities available for an organization with a specialty like yours. However, for the sake of contractual security, Detroit needs to be aware of your group's status with House intelligence agencies, law enforcers, and militaries. Specifically, whether you have any contracts with any of them, and whether or not you rely on them for your organizational security. I'm also particularly interested in whether or not your Irregulars are willing and able to operate in Gallia. Speaking more as a fellow businessman than a corporate representative, I'd strongly recommend you answer honestly. The sooner you can provide independently-verifiable information on these fronts, the sooner we can see about an agreement. Have a pleasant evening, Mr. MacRory, and thank you for choosing Detroit Munitions. your encryption indeed tried to fry my tablet, but it pulled through eventually, so no harm done. I fully understand and appreciate the need for security with the multitude of dangers every honest businessman encounters. Now, onto the business itself. Galia is not an issue for us. As I mentioned, we're independ, we don't fly anyone's transponders but our own and we haven't stepped on anyones toes there, or everywhere else for that matter, so if you need something delivered to Galia, we can certainly manage that. Our relations with the law is that of a private citisens. We have no contracts with any of them, inteligence, police or navy, regardless of the house, and we certainly don't depend on them for our security. In fact, if there ever was any contact between us and local authorities it was a brief exchange of vague pleasantries when we briefely meet in space. Honestly, we go for the live and let live aproach in regards to house authorities. Government contracts tend to be pain in the arse. I prefer working with individuals and private companies, souch as yours, not government agencies. Less of a hassle. Fly safe. MacRory out. I'm glad to hear back from you, and I'm pleased to inform you that Detroit is eager to do business with your group. For starters, the company is highly interested in expanding our market share in Gallia. This has been made difficult by present diplomatic exigencies such as the embargo placed by Bretonia and Kusari on the Union in the Tau systems, but I'm sure that won't be a problem for your transports the same way that it is for ours. To cut to the chase, we'd like you to ship ten thousand pallets of Light Arms from Detroit Munitions in New York to New Paris in Île-de-France—I'm sure that you're resourceful enough to find a buyer or three for a relatively small amount of product like this—to whet the Gallic appetite for our quality craftsmanship. I think something in the neighborhood of one million credits would be reasonable compensation for these deliveries, though if you get it done quick enough I'd be happy to authorize a bonus. Once you prove your reliability by pulling through on this job, we'll set up something a bit more regular. There are always guns to sell, Mr. MacRory, so as long as your men are efficient and discreet, Detroit will always have something lined up for you. I believe that, in the near future, that may even include sourcing specialty materials for our own use, but we'll cross that bridge once we come to it. seems you take your business seriously, I like that. I have added your contract to our internal database and I'll let you know when our pilots are finished with the job. The payment you offer should give them enough of an incentive. Fly safe. MacRory out. in the end it took a bit longer than I expected, but all Light Arms were now delivered. We transported a bit over the 10 000 pallets you wanted, mostly because we don't like flying half empty. Proofs of delivery are in the attachement, please forward the payment to MRI_Bank account. Now, with this out of the way, I actually have more business to discuss, if you're interested. We have recently received a particular order for a weapons and munition delivery. The buyer requested the arms and munitions to be sourced directly from you, and they were quite exact in the composition of the order. To be honest, I'm not sure if some of the stuff they requested even falls under "Light Arms" category, though in the context of space combat and orbital bombardment one could say everything man portable is just a light armament. To be specific, they requested 1000 pallets of your Light Arms. Out of each 100 pallets, they want 5 pallets to be positionable heavy machine guns, 5 pallets of portable missile launchers, 10 pallets of squad light machine guns, 20 pallets of standard caliber pistols, and the rest 40 pallets should be loaded with assault rifles, equipped with holographic and telescopic sights. In addition to that, they requested 2500 pallets of munitions for these weapon systems, divided to the same proportions as the weapons themselves. I have no doubts it is within your capabilites to prepare such order, but I imagine some of the items on the list might make you a bit uneasy, especialy since I'd rather not disclose our client, so I'll try to ease your potential concerns. The point of delivery is not within house space and the buyer's motive is purely defensive, against potential threat originating outside of house space. Let me know if you'd be interested in this order and how much would it cost us to purchase such shipment from you. Fly safe. MacRory out. Mr. Gatz,
We haven't had the pleasure of speaking yet, but I'm Mel. I'm newer to the MacRory Brothers' operation, but I've been runnin' a hefty chunk of Lachlan's shipments around Sirius lately and wanted to reach out. More than that, I also dropped off a shipment of Iridium with your supply tech on Detroit as a show of good faith between us Irregulars and yourself. Hopefully yer boys can put it to good use on the factory lines. No additional payment is needed, just hope it smooths things over for any delay on our end for takin' a bit longer on that New Paris shipment than was expected. Also, absolutely no rush on this bit, but I'm definitely interested in any 'specialty materials for our own use' you'er talkin' about. Just let me know. Stay Frosty! I have changed - and increased - the encryption on my side, this won't happen again.

Encryption: 384-bit Ageira WFF – EFFECTIVELY UNBREAKABLE To: Coordinator Lachlan MacRory, The Irregulars Good morning.
It's nice to hear from you again. You've more than proven your competency with the shipment to Gallia, and while I appreciate the enthusiasm and abilities of Ms. Travers, and don't fault you, Mr. MacRory, for the intrusion on her part—we do very greatly appreciate the iridium, by the way—it does raise the issue of discretion. Your assurances that you deal with lawful and civilian clients exclusively are good enough for us, and as such, the less you say about your clients, the happier we are all. I'm sure you understand. You'll find that the payment for the Gallic contract has been sent. Within seven hours, your client's order of product will be sorted, packed, and ready for pickup at our facility. The heavy machine guns will primarily be our DAU-19/F model, which is electrically driven, and as such each will require a two-hour charge after deployment before use, though regular use will convert the recoil energies to usable electricity automatically. The portable missile launchers will be our L388 "Discombobulator" model, a design so robust that it's been deployed everywhere from Nauru to Leeds, and whose fame speaks for itself. The squad LMGs will be an assortment of surplus models. The handguns will consist entirely of the classic Garner line, and should be roughly fifty-fifty 7a-series and 8c-series—all of them accept standard ten-millimeter rounds, though the munitions will also include AP and hollow-point cartridges. The final forty pallets will be one-hundred percent Riot Breakers, the most popular civilian-market piece of Detroit Deathware for thirty-six years and running. If you'd like to send this inventory to your clients to get their go-ahead before the commission is finalized, feel free, but the quartermaster assures me that this selection should meet most any party's needs. We will have an order of "special materials" for your group within the week, so don't worry on that front. Once again, thank you for choosing Detroit Munitions. I'm absolutely sure the Irregulars and the Company are going to make a killing together. Johann Gatz, Technical Coordinator, Detroit Munitions |
