Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Traxit - 10-22-2023 Title. Some players can only play on the weekend and the RNG-factor of rotating uncharteds can completely screw up their plans. thanks RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Lucas - 10-22-2023 agree RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Groshyr - 10-22-2023 I am the Groshyr and this is my favourite uncharted in the sirius sector RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Traxit - 10-22-2023 last bump for the weekend RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - DragonRider - 10-22-2023 You can hire people to mine for you. RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Pinko - 10-22-2023 But how will I have the money if I don't have the materials due to bad schedule/work... RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Hemlocke - 10-23-2023 I understand the problem. However I also think that opening all the holes during the weekend will just cause non-dynamic interactions and roleplay, everyone would just wait till the weekend and flood Earheart, so whatever plans you had are probably going up in flames anyway. That point aside however, if you're making plans for something you know is randomized, you probably should've pulled up a dictionary for the word "random". Not smart to bank on something you can't assure. And changing it in such a way would completely remove the novelty of the big random system with revolving doorways, if you're 100% guaranteed to know what's going to happen, and have access to what you want just because you went there during a specific day. And how would you roleplay that? The spooky anomaly system gets tired and takes a nap on weekends for us to go pillage? "We have data that suggests the anomalies stabilize when every Sirian is off work" Doesn't account for people that work during the weekends either. As DragonRider said above, you can pay people to go explore, chart things, and mine for you, which is a form of interaction. Or you can just do multiple exploration runs until one of them pays off. RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - TheSauron - 10-23-2023 I voted no, although with a disclaimer that, instead, the team should look into ways to make all of the uncharted materials available over the course of a weekend. I assume we are not actually going to get 10 different Earhart ores, so there should be a decent amount of randomness in system selection while still making sure people limited to Fri/Sat/Sun availability have a shot at each of the four materials during that period. RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - Haste - 10-23-2023 I have suggested we try and guarantee that two rotations are never the same, so no repeat of the exact same two. Right now, rotating between three systems, we obviously cannot guarantee "no repeats". We're very very likely to add more systems for Earhart to connect to in the future and we also are considering adding another entrance point besides Alaska & Jumpdrives, which would use the last "empty" gate available for us to use. So having it connect to more than two Uncharteds at a time is not currently an option. Just for clarity, what I mean by "we have no gates left to use besides this one we want to use for something else" is that it currently is set up like this: 1. Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3. Sirius 4. Sirius 5. Incoming Jumpdrives 6. Incoming Jumpdrives 7. Alaska Supergate 8. Future (Rotating?) Connection From Somewhere. RE: Make all of the Uncharted open on the weekend. - RedEclipse - 10-23-2023 Could you also consider to return uncharteds like Omicron-74 and Cayman. They were pretty. At this moment new uncharteds isn't entertaining as older ones. |
