Hello, I am a long time Freelancer fan, but never dove deeply into the multiplayer aspect.
I thought I could try this out. I saw a youtube video of some space battle with voiceover and everything.
I am a roleplay veteran from around 2008 , I roleplayed in Jedi Knight Jedi Academy (Forcemod 3) , on MSN with friends, on Discord and on World of Warcraft (EU).
I am 34 years old..
I like Star-Wars and Star trek, and I love space battles. I like capital ships, and my favourite Freelancer ship is the Valkyrie.
I am from the Rhineland, so obviously that would be a faction I would play as. Though I also like Kusari. I am after all into Anime and japanese history (Shogun 2 woo!).
I'll check out the guides. Is there a legal way to obtain another copy of Freelancer? Or is that included in this link here? https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=126999
I only have my ancient Freelancer disc, but it's in German.
I will have to read a lot of these rules and guides here, though. A looooooooot. It's intimidating!

Hello! No, there's pretty much no "legit" way to get Freelancer. It's an old game, was never officialy digitalised and I doubt you can get a physical copy. But yeah, you can download it through the guide you linked, it's a iso copy.

I'm poking my head around the singleplayer for now, testing ships. Is there a 'loadout guide' or a 'canon loadout' list for the capital ships?
It's hard to know which hardpoints are where on the ships, and I need my SYMMETRY.
