New Haven - Serpentis - 01-31-2024

As the clouds float over the newly constructed city of ‘Haven’, the green that covers the many buildings grows darker and gives off a strange uneasy feeling when observed. But, as soon as the clouds pass and the city is once again lit up by the sun, the entire view changes to that of beauty and marvel.
As the old city of ‘New Eden’ fell in the civil war between the Corporis Caste and the Animus caste, the city was left to be taken once again by nature. It was a long time ago that let the city grow over. When the Remnants arrived back home, from many years of cryo sleep deep in the distant areas beyond the rim of Sirius. They came back to an overgrown city. Many of the priests believed it was a sign and for them to violate what might very well be the will of their Creator, they decided to rebuild their new home over the old, with the old and using the old. On the outskirts of the old city, the three colony ships landed and over many months and even years, they managed to create a thriving city, one they named ‘Haven’. All that remained in its former state was that of the Great Temple. That they cleared and repaired, because of its importance to its people. A Torch. A Symbol. A Hope. The rest of the city was refurbished, repaired and yet, certain parts of the city needed to be demolished. It took them a few years to complete their work and there even had been some new arrivals deciding to take up a living in Haven.

And there were thousands of Virulians left alive thanks to the quiet exit of those Loyal to the former Overlord, Zhane and the oldest of the Animus caste, Mali’cael. They now made up the leadership for the Remants and they would do anything to assure their people lived on for many generations still.

In orbit of the city, the Remnants patrolled the skies and as traders arrived and left, they were escorted. Even in and out of the system if able. They relied on trade with those that came to Canaria. Mostly in expensive and specialized components to different parts of starships. If there was anything the Virulians knew, it was technology. But, they also knew how to construct generalized industrial parts, for many different uses.

As the winds blew over the many buildings and the green glowed thanks to the sun, the murmurs of the people could be heard, coming closer to the temple. It was soon time for prayer and to have a meeting. Each remnant now had the possibility to vote, no matter station or caste. All voices were from now on meant to be heard. There were of course those that did not go to Temple, they valued alone time instead, their own ways to pray. And of course, there were those not of the Faith that lived there. After all, faith was up to each to seek, not theirs to force on others.
