Rationing On Crete
Freeport Nine - Omicron Theta - Food prices in the Omicron Systems have doubled overnight following the destruction of a critical biome at Freeport 9, plunging the already war-torn area into a deeper crisis. The attack, carried out by a joint Zoner and Core Marine force against occupying Corsair troops, has left a massive scar on the vital space station, further crippling its food production capabilities.

While the majority of Freeport 9's hostages were liberated during the raid, reports indicate that a significant number remain captive, forced into backbreaking labor to repair the damaged biomes. This adds another layer of suffering to the already dire situation, fueling public outrage and calls for immediate action.

Adding fuel to the fire, Zoner leadership have reportedly halted food exports to the Omicrons, prioritizing their own people and stations. This action has exacerbated the food crisis on neighboring Crete, causing prices to spiral and drawing criticism from the Corsair leadership, who maintain their illegal occupation of Freeport 9.

Whispers of high-level talks between Zoner and Corsair officials regarding the return of Freeport 9 have emerged, with potential technical and supply support offered in exchange for restoring food production. However, skepticism abounds, with many anticipating the fragile ceasefire to crumble and usher in a prolonged conflict against the Corsair empire.

Fantastic, just fantastic. What were they even thinking? Now our rations will be cut even more. At least they got hostages to safety
